Subject: searching for a texture program

R.P.Studios ( ) posted Wed, 11 April 2012 at 10:56 AM · edited Sat, 30 November 2024 at 11:38 PM

You could import your figure/model and put a "decal" onto the model and save out the texture...i wanted to use it for tattooing V4 mostly...but cant remember the name of the program. Anyone know

Gimp.  Photoshop.  Any sort of program you can open .jpg or .png files.  Then you can add the tats via brushes or paint your own designs and re-save them with a different name and the same sort of file.

Gimp is free, photoshop is not.  Note: you will have to remember where you placed the files and place them manually onto V4 through surfaces (DS) or Materials (Poser) tabs/rooms.

I just re-read that question. If you have CS3+ and DS3 +, there is the Photoshop Bridge from Daz3.com that may work for you.

no...i have all of that...thi8s program was adding them in 3D space like a decal...V4 has miserable seams...i dont have that kind of patience

Photoshop bridge I thought was the plug in to bring your models from studio into photoshop to do just that and take what changes you've made back into studio.

You have Photoshop Bridge?

snirk  Well, the next step I'd suggest is to re-download the file and immediately upload and install if you can. If not, I'd suggest sending notification off to the company contact to see if they can help.  I've had that happen with more than a few plug-ins/models.  They had to renew something on the download before it would work.

What's not gonna do?  lol  You can paint on the model once you get it from Studio to Photoshop, is that what you mean?

I suspect this http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=6862 is what you are looking for, though I don't have it to say how well it works.

Ah- didn't even remember that one.  I prefer to place textures/ink/scars directly onto and within the texture maps themselves- never even bothered with the decal plug-ins.  Ever.  That or Clothehim/her.

For that price, I'd find someone who has had good luck in results and ease of use before buying it.

Daz Studio to Photoshop Bridge has the following limitation.

DS 64bit to PS 64bit = OK. // DS 64bit to PS 32bit = Will not work.

DS 32bit to PS 32bit = OK. // DS 32bit to PS 64bit = Will not work.
