Actually it is the texture map. I like the Female Frost Giant texture for the head, but want the Male Frost Giant texture for the rest of the body. This was the only way I thought of that would allow me to use both sets of textures. I'm using Daz 4.0.3.19 Advanced edition.
If you know an easier way to accomplish this, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
David
Ah, in that case you should be able to mix and match the textures as the UV set is a per-surface setting, not a whole figure setting. Apply one of the material sets to the figure as usualy, it's probably simplest to make that the male set you want for the body, then in the Surfaces pane select the areas you want to have the female textures and hold down the ctrl key (cmd key for a Mac) when you double-click the female material set file, then in the dialogue that opens pick Selected for Surfaces and click Accept.
Hi Richard. Thanks for the help. I could not get it to work, but did manage to tweak the texture settings so that the lips were in the right place on my genesis creature. I did have one last question. When I bought Daz Studio 3 Advanced I also bought PW shaders collection and Light Dome Pro 2. Do I need to repurchase them for use in Daz Studio 4 Advanced (4.0.3.19), or is there some upgrade option?
Thanks,
David
Light Dome Pro hasn't (yet) been updated for DS4, and judging by the creator's comments a few weeks back it may not be. If it is I don't know if the update will be free or an paid for upgrade. The situation with the PoseWorks shaders is happier - most of them (except pwSketch and, perhaps, the original pwSurface) have free updates that will work in DS 4.0 and 4.5 - just reset them from your itemised order history to get the new versions.

Hi. I'm building a creature in Daz Studio 4 and it contains two figures exactly the same, except one has a head and one is missing a head. I'm using the frost giant texture on both (the body with the male texture and the head with the female texture) and so far it looks great, but...
Thanks for all of your help.
Cheers,
David
