lucien, I viewed your free items, which are very good IMVHO.  most of them are for bryce (I don't use bryce), mais j'ai téléchargé le deux chevaux et je vais essayer de le rendre à poser bientôt. je voudrais aussi le revolver colt 1851 navy*, s'il y a un moyen de le convertir à poser.*

it's very unusual for any users to thank freebie posters.  I know it's disappointing, but it's an affective condition that we users seem to develop after years of downloading things.

Bonsoir,

Soit !

A+

JM

Hi, Lucien - I have downloaded some of your freebies.  I try say thank you when a person announces freebies in the forums, but am not always good about posting on download pages.  I have not used any of your freebies yet, but like Infinity, I download a LOT of freebies with the hope to use them someday.

I appreciate everyone who gives freebies.

Thank you!!

Cheers,
Alisa

I approve a lot of them and keep a percentage for future use as well. I feel your confusuion at not being thanked and there fore not knowing if there's any point but there is my friend...most get so into the work that they forget to notify the creators that they're grateful. I, when I use a freebie or a purchaces item, always sent the maker a link to the render and a thank you at that time. I wish we could make that a stipulation for use but by requiring anything like that they're no longer really free...you pay by writing a letter...seems silly I know but that's how I see it.

I see a sound

I understand your question.

Would you prefer a LIKE feature with your download as they have in facebook posts?

Also, I have on occasion thanked artists for making something that I truly needed and didn't even ask. While I can not speak for everyone, I know that if I see an artist give away items, it entices me to purchase items as well. When I contacted the artist to thank them or to comment, I have only been ignored twice in the last 4 years.

Let me speak right away for all other artists that downloaded your freebies and said nothing.

Thank you. Thank you very much. Your hard work and generosity is truly appreciated. The quality of your models is truly appreciated. 3d Modeling has arrived as an artform and your work is art. True art.

Once more, Merci. Merci bien.

I hadn't yet seen your more recent Poser ready freebies.

They look very nice! I would definitely hope to download and use some of them in due course.

(I'd download right now, but I'm on a bus and not at home)

Thank you very much, in advance of my downloading and using them :-)

Although I do try to remember to post a thank you comment too when I download... and also a credit if used in a gallery image.

here's another render of the dcv using free chiricahua plaza sIBL set from http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/

difficulty in poser is that stefan has not yet added transparency colour channel we wanted, thus glass must either be thin and colourless, or refractive with heavy shadows, and I didn't yet get the turn signal light cover to be transparent red.

yes, it uses the poser infinite light as sun, whose position corresponds to the location of the sun in the image mapped to bill's envsphere.  it has an 8192X4096 jpeg as background (visible to camera, no light interactions) and a 3200X1600 hdri (invisible to camera, visible in raytracing) as source for indirect specular reflections and indirect diffuse illumination.

Google Chrome has automatic translation too, of course... even from Japanese.

Which can be useful for Japanese Poser sites, etc.

Hello everyone,

Just as a reminder, requiring members to thank or credit for downloading or using items uploaded to Renderosity's servers or linking offsite freebies is not tolerated.

We have had some issues in the recent past that I do not want repeated.

Please see the FAQ page for information regarding this issue.

Hello,

Hello,

I did not ask to be thanked, I just asked to see from time to time what others were doing with my freebies. Show me some, such as Miss Nancy here manage to do it. Is that my work is something or not, it satisfies users etc ... I'm not a competition and no advertising on this site, just a small request, my faith understandable.

Understandable...and I do as well send a link to every member who's free item I use in a render..the paid items get notified automatically I believe when you use the vendor credit thing. I'd personally like to see some way of crediting Freestuff Providers automatically like that in the notes ....

Yes, that would be a very useful addition... it would make it much easier to add a credit against gallery images for freestuff items... such a feature would definitely get my vote :)

The fact this would create (if it was set up right) an automatic link to the freestuff listing (in the same way this happens for marketplace items credited) would also be a great feature addition to the gallery section, I think...

The wish list is neither more nor less than what you suggested in your previous post: Automatic mention freebies that are used to the author of the so-called freebies.

Sorry, but the French are by definition "verbose". Otherwise, it shook not French.

REL (french acronym for "LOL" = Rire En Ligne, for Laugh On Line)

I know a good psychoanalyst, but before flying to France, I advise you to meditate on the words of Boileau. And then witch preceding the other? The word or the thought?
REL again!

I wish you good day.

Thanks!
