I kind of like it so far (but I'm easy to please heh)
but what's with the big gap above the text ?

Looks to me like the re-design is to make the site more s-phone/tablet friendly. Since I often buy off the mobile device while on the road, that's a plus to me. That said, I have noticed that a few pages where the text is badly washed out due to things like blue text on a grey background... my inbox being one of them, unfortunately.

*and everyone else getting several inserted lines on each post as well?
DOM inspector says each post begins by inserting a image, which accounts for the extra spacing. The CSS is being globally applied by bootstrap.css to the image tag which is setting a height of auto.
So techincally two errors. Why the null image (image is named null) and why use global level CSS styling?
The text on the dark blue is fine. Unfortunately I have a 23" monitor which leaves a huge amount of that ugly blue that makes me seasick when I scroll. Hopefully I can fix it with firefox.

Change is always good. If nothing else, this makes everybody wake up and take notice.
It is now just as user friendly as FB - not what I would call a comfortable setting for digital artists, but it is certainly sterile and professional. I'm sure we'll all adapt and it may bring in more newbies. Nice try by IT and I hope it helps boosts user numbers.

Yikes, no it's not always good. Only when it's needed and is a change for the better.
Please tell me that when it's all done things will be smaller and closer together so we don't have to scroll down a few miles to read and/or see things.
And the light turquoise lettering on darker turquoise is practically unreadable - even worse when you scroll over it and it turns the same color as the background! Also unreadable is the light turquoise on - is that blue or gray? - in the mail. Hopefully this is not the way it will end up. How many more minutes to wait till it's fixed please?
The only good thing I see so far is the ability I don't think existed before to select mutilple things in your wishlist to then do stuff like delete, make private or public, etc...

this could be corrected if one of the columns in the table was set to autosize and table itself was not set to a fixed width. it seperates the men from the boys in web site design...just like setting a static image for a background instead of having it scroll with the page...little details such as these two exaples are very telling about who is working on a web site.
Whoa.. I did not expect this...
I bright white bar at the top of an otherwise toned down look. That's plain nasty and hard on the eyes. The colors for the links are quite bad in combination with the general background color. This needs to be changed.
And there appears to be a bug: An image is inserted at the start of every post, specifically with this code: <img width="150" height="10" src="../../art/null.gif">
On firefox this creates a pretty large space between the post header and the actual post text.
edit: the image thing was already mentioned... didn't notice the second page :)

I'm getting all kinds of ghastly after-images blobs, just from glancing at it. I have to keep my monitor turned (unfortunately) bright in order to make sure my images have decent color. That makes white backgrounds VERY uncomfortable to look at. Not happy... but will be patient. But also... dot...dot...dot... not shopping either.
So now, in line 9 of main.css you have the following rule.
.forum_message_cell img {height: 10px;}
Which, being a global declare for the image tag within a element of that class, makes every inserted image in a post 10px high.
Really, fix the scoping or remove the image. You just broke everyone's signature images.
The drop-down menus are fine - no issues there. I just hope they do something with:
That glaring, white band at the top of the pages... Visually 'shocking' and distracting IMHO..
Change the active/visited link text color to something us old geezers can actually see with out a magnifying glass...
I'd love to see the BG color toned down a bit, but I'll live with it, I guess....

Quote - Actually the spacing happens in both Firefox 19 and Chrome 24.
It does not happen in IE 9.
And this folks, is why we do cross browser testing in web development.
Well, then, that would explain why the bar graphics on the right is covering up a portion of the text in the middle for me. Same thing seems to be happening at Daz as well. Yes, I'm on Internet Explorer 9. I'm starting to wonder if they're preparing for Windows 8 / Internet Explorer 10.

I just loaded up Rendo on my tablet. It actually looks pretty good. Still don't like the color scheme. The other one was much prettier and easier on the eyes. At least the menus work on the tablet now and its sized perfectly.
Oh, and Rendo? When i try to position my cursor in the reply box, the website has a nasty habit of jumping to the top of the page. Also when i closed the keyboard, it did it, too. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.2 tablet. This NEEDS to be fixed! I have to scroll all the way back down to the bottom of the page to post my reply.
Loads faster, works smoothly, and seems more mobile device-friendly. I understand more tweaks are being done and the final form of the website is yet to appear.
I am not certain that I like the site looking much like the Daz3D one, which, at this time, it resembles. Only because a distinct identity is more valuable. Not a big issue if I use the marketplace and forums. Just saying.
