Subject: Ideas for a Poser two-year-old boy

What would be the best figure to use for a Poser two-year-old boy? I think the Matt figure looks slightly older (about 5 or more) and the next one down from that is the Millennium baby who is obviously too young.

Are there any other kids around, or are there any morphs for Matt to make him look younger still?

There's the Toddler from Daz and Baby 4 on ShareCG.com. Both require Kids 4 and morphs. Baby 4 can be scaled up to look older since it starts from the K4 base.

The K4 toddler, when released, only worked with DAZStudio and not worked correctly with that Poser version at the time.  However, if you have P9/PP2012, the scaling problem has been corrected and the feature now usable.

Interesting.  I didn't buy it when it first came out because it was DS or Carrara only.  It still says that in the description.  But the box on the bottom lists Poser as compatible software.  I wasn't sure if it was with DSON or what.

The initial problem was scaling.  Poser could not properly scale the toddler morph to K4.  But someone else has posted that scaling now works well with P9/PP2012 and reported that the K4 Toddler is now possible.  I do have that package when it was offered free.  Time to test drive it.

Well it appears that the K4 toddler does scale quite well in P2012, with a few issues when the arms are dropped. I got the toddler when I had P2010 and never tried it because of the mentioned scaling problem. Now all I need is a reason to use a pugugly baby in a render.

The scaling issue with the toddler's arms is easily fixed by selecting the shoulders (left and right) and rescaling the Scale (xyz) slider to 86% (top number).  Dani

Absolutely, and if you use the 'show dials' python script you can further refine scaling with individual x, y or z scalers for the shoulders and collars.

Actually I was having a problem with the back of the toddlers head. It still appears to be there in 2012. There is a ridge where the neck joins the head. It's kinda scary looking. Don't have a picture though. Have you turned the baby around?

No problem here.  Just rendered an image and the baby's head is fine in the back.

Must just be me. I'll try reinstalling over a fresh K4 or maybe I should apply Morphs++ before the Toddler. BTW, where'd you get the hair, is it part of the texture?
