So, I've been looking through some of the markets and haven't found much content for Rex & Roxie.

It seems a couple freebies have been done, but is anyone else creating anything for them? 

I figure maybe a thread here (as has been done with other lesser figures), would help for anyone wanting to find content for them - either free or for sale, and for those thinkin about creating anything for them can look here to see if it's already been done. 

Maybe also for those requesting something be made.

Too few people do stuff for the native Poser figures. And then nobody uses them. And nobody makes stuff for never-used figures. - circle complete.

Also I think that at least some regards the Fitting Room as The Solution. So far I've used it twive with ... passable results... but not more than that.

So I'd like more clothes for Rex, too. General clothing. Everyday wear. And perhaps a nice suit.

I generally support all the Poser figures over at CP. I just haven't done anything for Roxie yet.  I have some questions regarding her mesh. Once that gets resolved, I'll be creating a character for her.

Frankly, there's nothing left to do for V4 that hasn't been done to death anyway.

Are there supposed to be any updates to the base meshes? 

The eye lash issue is a bit of a setback, but more importantly I've been discovering issues with Rex's mesh, particularly in the legs, that make it difficult to create morphs. 

The geometry itself isn't symmetrical, and can't be made symmetrical due to the way it's laid out. So it takes extra work and some creative planning to make it work the way it needs to. 

It could be fixed and would not alter the UVs in any way that would screw with any textures, but it's not something I've ever run into with any other native figures. 

Anyway, I'm workin on an FBM for Rex, and plan to do one for Roxie as well. Getting these issues corrected would make things a lot easier.

If they'd fix the mesh, all my FBMs were lost for the new geometrie. Never understand that eyelash problem. I just can't see it . Eyelashes are o.k. to me the way they are. Making them part of the body would make my FBMs unusable.

Yes, I detest the existing Roxie lashes. I'm a woman. Even with mascara I've never had lashes that looked as strange as those and I've never seen lashes like that on any human - in print or in real life. They look like toon lashes. I've been wrestling with how to get around those things. That's my set-back on releasing characters.

However, I agree with Timberwolf that It would indeed be a shame to break people's FBMs.

AmbientShade, you should report the mesh issues in Mantis. That way it'll be on the docket for Rex 2/Roxie 2 (probably next verson of Poser, I'd guess).

:-) Yeah, from the time we're little girls we're inundated with images of what every square inch of our bodies are "supposed" to look like. Those lashes just aren't doing it.

The eyelash fix may come sooner. Probably a transmap option like Miki 4. Thanks for all for your support. Poserworld has a jump suit with boots, and a skirt/legging/blouse outfit for Roxie. They take requests for free from members.

Strike that part. My mistake. It turned out I'd screwed up the geometry myself, somehow, while trying to make the base figure symmetrical. lol. It happens. 

So far the mesh is built symmetrical far as I can tell. 

My issue with the lashes is just with them being a separate figure, not their structure since that can be worked with. 

It's also not a make-or-break issue (at least it shouldn't be for most people). A problem with the base figure's geometry would be.

Kate2 would be great. She's been largely ignored. Would be nice to have a weightmapped version of her. There are no weightmapped kids for Poser (unless you count Genesis Kid; does that really count?)

A dress shirt and some slacks for Rex that I'm working on. It will probably have undies and shoes too. And maybe a jacket...?

Actually it's clothing for the FBM I'm workin on but it will fit Rex as well, obviously.

No one mentioned 3Dream's Rio Ponytail hair has a fit for Roxy, and many other Poser figs. Very nice hair. Thank you 3Dream.

Good point - 3Dream makes awesome hair and includes a prop version with each hair package. You can easily load the prop version and get it to fix Roxy just by using scaling & translating.

And...if we're lucky, he'll see this and create hair fits for Roxy (free download here and ShareCG) for his various hair models like he did for Alyson. (hint, hint) :)
