So... on brighter note. Those who check out their "Product Library", how many pages do you have?
I'm at 11. :-D

The "purchased" icon doesn't work 100% of the time, even for items that were not sold in a bundle. I can browse for items that I know I bought, that are on my harddrive, and are in my order history, and the button comes up green. Cannot be relied upon.
PoserPro 2014, PS CS5.5 Ext, Nikon D300. Win 8, i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz, AMD Radeon 8570, 12 GB RAM.
I miss them too, but the old DAZ pre-Genesis. When the the Genesis switch happened I likened it to breaking up with a boyfriend you still love but realize you're going in two different directions. I only buy Ron's 2D stuff from them now and I'm spending a TON of money here!. When they started to delete non-inflammatory sincere concerns on their forums, they really lost me. Oh well. I'm loving it here and the vendors hopefully are loving me back for spending way more than I can afford!

Quote - > Quote - Daz has released a couple of products in the last month that I am quite interested in, but I can no longer tell if I can actually use them in Poser right away, or if they need a DSON importer, or if they need to be converted using DS, or if they can't be converted at all. :(
Yes, I find that confusing, too. It used to be easy to tell before DSON.
Now I look at the tab with the file types, and see if they are the Poser files, or some weird stuff I don't recognize. :-)
As a good rule of thumb, if you look at the "Additional Information" tab:
DAZ Core installer - DS Native
Poser Core installer - Poser Native.
Quote - > Quote - I like the way Daz still send me Platinium Club emails. Even though I left about 3 years ago, they still keep trying. They even suggested that to stop getting the emails I log into my PC account (that's the one I don't have btw!) and unsubscribe to the emails. It's sort of sweet really, their lack of understanding for a situation :)
They mean your account, not your Platinum Club account (which isn't a thing in its own right anyway). You might, though, find that the unsubscribe option doesn't work - I know a few cases where that has been true - in which case opening a support ticket should get the emails stopped.
Yeah, but there is no "unsubcribe" because I'm not subscribed. Opening a support ticket got me the answer to cancel my PC membership or unsubscribe, but it's not possible to unsubcribe from or cancel something that doesn't exist!
It's not a big deal. I just think it's funny. Luckily, even though they seem to be sure I'm still a member, they've never tried to charge me for membership for the last 3 years.

18 ;)
I'm at 64 and the only thing I've bought since Genesis was the $75 dollars I wasted on Genesis when the DSON converter came out since I still can't get Genesis to work in Poser :(
I too got that e-mail, maybe they send that to all their former platinum club members.
As for the topic about DAZ and their new directions...
Well I started out with Daz in 2006 and purchased all I could for V3 and M3 at the time and V4 just months later I think, I was like jeez! At the time a friend used poser4 or 5 and found DS far more easier to set up scenes with being able to select more than one body part or texture at a time was great. I also purchased Bryce 6 at the time which I still use and love so I stick with daz for some time until DS3 came out (It crashed on a constant basis!) and that's when I converted to Poser7 which I got used to the UI after a while and was far more easier to use than I ever imagined. I still did purchase many other things at DAZ for a while, eck after a few years I converted to V4 and M4 with many packs, kits and add-on and low and behold a week later the genesis fugure came out lol. :P
In any case like many others around here it seems, I too loved to use DS and purchased at their store often. I still use DS2.3 daily and V3 and M3 are still my mostly used figures since I invested in them allot, I also prefer them to many other figures even the more modern ones. I cannot stand the face of V4 especially that horrible smile which gives me nightmares, even with all the morphs I could find or sculpt my self... Anyway, when they gave us DS4 and DS4.5+ I just couldn't get into them since the user interface I loved about the older versions was gone and I was forced into a UI I have no comfort with even when I tried and tried to give it a chance, but what really stopped me from going back to DS was the lack of dynamic clothing I could import as an obj file since I model most of my figure clothes for the most part and that was it with DS for me. So I decided to purchase Poserpro 2012 (Which kept pretty much the old poser UI which was great, now If I could just find the way to load my 2012 pro library offline that would be even better!) and now have 2014 on my radar, therefore I doubt I'll ever go back to any new DS versions.
As far as 3D content goes, my 3D budget has its limits, but I still purchase more than I should and I tend to buy allot in one shot and then let a month or more pass by and then I make another burst of purchases and so on. The past few years I started to avoid the DAZ store because their price tags went to the roof. I understand why many vendors do it, but with a store like Renderosity and a few others out there that I don't need to name are stores which I can find poser related models at a respectable price tag with the same kind of quality that fulfils my 3D hobby needs.
I'm not bashing DAZ, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have found this wonderful 3D hobby, I'm just saying why I went elsewhere as stated above. I might go back to them someday, but with the way things are right now I no longer visit their store because I don't need to.
Now I feel unloved and reviled. Kind of like Gollum! And like V4! " We hates it (Daz)! We hates it forever, thief Baggins (Daz)!" Sorry-now I'm of to find PRECIOUS! Poor V4, neglected and gradually forced out of the light....
:-)
Quote - > Quote - Ugh...fun thread...not fun anymore...
In this forum, a thread with DAZ in the title will turn into DAZ-bashing, it's just inevitable. Even when DAZ is handing out no-strings-attached $5 vouchers, it's still a clear indication to the haters that DAZ is evil, desperate, going under, sucking up, up to something, etc, etc, etc.
I don't hate DAZ and I wish them well on the path they have taken, I have just decided I am not going their way. Like others I credit Daz with getting me into 3D all those years ago and giving me my favorite female character. So no hate at all we have just stopped talking to each other and I don't visit them anymore.
V4 will never be unloved by me we have been working together too long and although I have downloaded Dawn, and she shows potential, it will be a while before that potential matches, if ever, what I have already developed with V4.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Quote - I'm not inclined to forgive Daz for killing Bryce and Hexagon. I used to love Bryce! If they'd kept up the development they could have really gone somewhere with Bryce, but they let it fall by the wayside.
Well, according to the email I got from one of the forum mods (Forum post deleted), stopping all development for the foreseeable future does not mean that that DAZ has actually killed Bryce and Hexagon.
Of course, I never got a response when I asked them what the difference was between stoping all development for Bryce and Hexagon and killing them.
As best I can figure, DAZ will continue to sell Bryce & Hexagon to unsuspecting new customers, but they don't appear to be adding features, fixing bugs, or my favorite - updating documentation.
Quote - Well....
...it's not that I'm not dissapointed with DAZ and in a way jealous of all the ready-to-use shiny new stuff they churn out for Genesis, but....
...it was not that Poser showed big technical progress prior to Poser 9/PP-2012, so I can understand DAZ rather risking to do their own thing than waiting for Poser to move on with better rigging tech.
It was unfortunate that just when they were finished building a figure based on brand new tech, Poser finally introduced similar rigging tech, too.
Now they are back to the same technical level, but mostly incompatible with each other.
DAZ knew all along what direction Poser was going, everyone on tne inside knew. DAZ just insisted that SM moves their development cycle to DAZ schedule, and SM didnt want to take that much of a risk and release software a year before it was ready and have a large series of bugs, patches and SR's.
My guess is DAZ investors were pushing to start seeing some returns... that is usually what causes major changes at tbe helm that DAZ had had in recent years. It is one of the drawbacks of having investors. Dan Farr probably sold them on certain ideas, and overestimated how fast poserdom will move to newer technology.
DAZ missing us, like any dysfunctional relationship where one side gets over confident and thinks tbe grass is greener elsewhere, my message would be, you should have thought of that when large number of us were telling them this is going to happen, but they thought they knew better, and treated us like enemies.

what's yours?
Quote - I used to miss people. But then I got some new sights for my rifle. :)
LOL. :D
If daz really missed people they'd get off their high horses and make something that can be used in poser without needing a seperate program. As long as they are making enough money, I don't think they'll care.
The only thing that'll worry them is something like Dawn becoming popular. If she gets V4 level support (and it's starting to look like she will) the poser users will finally have an answer to daz figures.
WARK!

You can't come back from that. I'd say the break-up is final.
Actually, I was just poking around the DAZ site yesterday because of this thread.
If you go to "My Account" and click on "Product Library" it gives you a list of all your past purchases. You can even sort them by ascending or descending purchase date, or by name.
Clicking on a given link will take you to a download page for that item, unless it's been marked (Inactive).
I'm trying to find a Mac copy of Daz Studio 3 so I can auto search my Runtimes and export the database to Daz4.6. But of course older version are not availble so now I'm forced to look through archive hard drives.
