Subject: who or what is causing this problem?

I load the cloth, conform it and all is well except that there are morphs missing and poke through appears.

So I add then morphs which were in the figure to the clothing. All seems well at that point. Then I pose the figure, and I get what you see in the attached image

This is a cloth from the marketplace rigged for that figure. So no fitting room involved.

Doing the same procedere with a v4 works fine

However...

If I pose the figure first and then add the morphs I do not get the problem.

So who or what is the cause of the problem?

Here is it if I inject the morphs after the pose

Not being a techie type I'm just taking a WAHG here, but...

Could it have to do with the fact that Dawn is weightmapped? Your work-around seems to solve the problem, for the most part. Could it be the way the weightmap is being transfered to the clothing? This might be a Poser issue.

Is the shirt conforming & posing correctly if you don't transfer the morphs from Dawn?

I do not know. I have not seen this problem before when using roxie. And the weightmaps are transferred when you use the other method. So that indicates that the transfer itself works. And V4 does not have the problem, although is not using weightmaps the same procedure is followed.

So no idea if it is poser. It could be anything

Yes, and it passed the rendo QA team so others must have looked at it as well

It does sound like a morph transfer issue problem. Maybe the morph transfer projection algorithm is being interfered with by the weightmaps? Better said: Maybe the morph transfer project algorithm doesn't take weightmaps into consideration or the weightmaps really needed to be recalculated based on the new morph. That's my best guess.

If you don't get a resolution here, you might consider submitting it as a bug for Poser into Smith Micro's Mantis tech support system.

I will file it as a bug in Mantis, but to be honest, I don't think it is a poser bug since it does not happen with other figures. The cr2 of the figure has many oddities which may cause this behaviour

Have you contacted the marketplace team and/or the vendor? It's possible that this is an issue that hasn;t come up before and therefore wasn;t tested for. In most cases the vendor/creator are the best source of help.

B epreapred to send them an exact walk thru of how you get the problem be specific with the names, sources etc of the morpsh you are trying to trans fer. Several images (as above but also wireframes may help)

(You're right; I suspect it may be a Dawn issue. You might mention it to HW as well. SM may be able to put something in place to compensate for, ahem, "variances" in figure rigging.)

I'm wondering if this is related to an "oddity" that Netherworks spotted. You might ping him & see if he has any ideas.
