I have seen similar to this using poser 9 and Dson on my imac. I found that generally leaving it to do its thing, the dson script eventually resolves the issue /completes the process on its own. For some reason it takes quite a looonnnggg time to load anything with dson but seems to be quicker the second time its loaded. Have you tried just leaving till it finishes?
Also make sure your running the latest versions of the Dson script and poser.
When its completed all of the dialogue boxes will close on there own. Eventually...
Yup : I have the latest versions of all needed for sure ... All in the right folder.
I have let it finish .. indeed takes a loooong time and a looooong day with this happening by all I add through DSON. And when I'm finaly done and save a scene with these stuff in it Poser shuts down after re-opening that scene .. so I can start all over again >_<
But soooo glad finaly someone recocnizing this ..
And realy hope there will someone responds with the answer and true to fix this!!
Is this happening on all DSON content or only on certain items? Such as clothing, props, or other items you've created Poser companion file for?
I have just done a few tests in Poser 9 and I noticed it seems to happen with specific clothing items I had created a while ago, but not with others. So I suspect it was something I was doing wrong in the Poser companion files I had created at the time. To be honest most things seem to be loading a lot quicker now then I remember.
We need to work out if its the DSON Script itself or the specific items companion files causing the slowdown.
One suggestion which you may already know is to Set Subdivision to off.
Under scripts/DSON Support/ SubDivision - Off
This may speed things up slightly but I suspect its not the core of the issue your having.
I haven't create any Poser companion files myself ...
But indeed you nailed it :
No problems at all with adding DAZ originals ..
Only with the Poser companion filed items indeed
As well in PP 2012 as in PP 2014 .. it's the same.
I didn't know about the SubDivision - off so I wil take a look at that.
I would appreciate big time if the scripting will be checked :
maybe the companion files, the py files or DSON script that don't match eachother perfectly.
Realy hope to keep posted on that..
.. and sorry if my English isn't that great :D
So just to confirm,
When you load a Daz Original using DSON it loads fine(No Slow Down)?
(For example: Daz DSON Clothing onto a Genesis figure in Poser.)
The problem is when your trying to load a 3rd party clothing item onto Genesis in Poser using DSON? (That comes supplied with its own Poser Companion files?)
Sorry a few things in your last post left me a little confused.
Just trying to offer what help I can. Even though I found for the most part DSON causes more problems then it solves.
