Subject: What clothing would you like for Roxie?

vilters ( ) posted Sat, 12 April 2014 at 3:19 PM · edited Sat, 12 April 2014 at 3:24 PM

@ pumeco

OK, I see, so my next question;

Was this with Sinning method Poser Traditional or Unimesh?

EDIT : Never mind, I can duplicate, both skinning methods make the same deformations.

Vilters, cheers but I'll start a new thread, I honestly don't want this one to go OT again :-P

I finally managed to buy PP 2014 and now that I have access to Roxie, I'd like some clothes for her.

I prefer dynamic clothing, casual real world practical stuff... jeans, regular cotton shirts, sweat pants/sweat shorts, etc.

EClark1894 ( ) posted Thu, 17 April 2014 at 6:24 AM

Either go to Content Paradise and look up Roxie, or go the Rendo Freestuff and do a search for her. You'll find stuff from several people (me, me!) who have made stuff for her. (I love her more though cause I've made more stuff for her!)

pumeco ( ) posted Thu, 17 April 2014 at 9:27 AM

You're just asking Vilters to speed-up his output with comments like that

vilters ( ) posted Thu, 17 April 2014 at 10:01 AM

@ pumeco

WRONG !

We are not in competition al all.

When I see a technical chalenge? I build something.

My first free items where fitting room tests.
No more, no less, and I said so.

My later items where technical tests.
There is something special in each of my sets.

When I build something, it is because I wanna learn, or overcome, or try something.
Be it in Blender or in Poser.

And when done?

Better to give it away then to throw it away.

As I wrote before: There is something special in the : Roxie - The Roman set.
I wanna see ANY other builder to build a similar set in the way I did, and make it behave the way it does.

And my "sets" are "sets" because I want them to be "sets".

Click-drag-and-drop-autoconform the FULL set in a single click,  to be as end user friendly as possible.

My "production" as you call it depends on my free time, what I see or want to learn, or figure out this time.

Production will STOP, when I see no chalenge any more.
I could crack out a set a day if I wanted to.
I could build "whatever" if I wanted to.

Single motivation is; The chalenge.

Competition? ? Is no technical chalenge.

Bloody hell, alright, alright, I was only joking 😄

I've downloaded your Roman outfit already but I've not even installed it yet.  I'll take a look at it tonight but I doubt this "trick" thing you keep on about is going to be obvious to me.  I've rarely added anything to Poser so if something happens that doesn't normally happen, I doubt I'd realise it even when I see it!

Don't take that the wrong way, it's just the way I am with Poser, I generally just fiddle around with it.

vilters ( ) posted Thu, 17 April 2014 at 10:45 AM

Ha- ha- ha-
Nobody will know what I did untill they actually try to make something alike work.
And then find out; Damm, how the hell did he do that? ? ?

A second, you have P10 right? Ok, impossible it will stay.
And, euh, that was the final hint...

Next piece of info will cost a chocolate icecream deliverd to;

Wish sometimes I had pictures from my last year in school, clothing types were different, not so much in how they were made as in how they were worn.  Formal gown from that time would be nice, conforming top, dynamic skirt.  Square cut front, closed back, short sleeves, I don't even have any pictures, Didn't take part in anything I didn't have to.  Usually saw things as I was leaving before anything started.  Put in my appearance, "Hello, Goodbye", as quickly as possible.  SOmetimes regret not bringing my Kodak Hawkeye, but film was expensive too.

Doric.

The "I" in Doric is Silent.

moriador ( ) posted Fri, 18 April 2014 at 4:24 PM

You want a technical challenge? How about a suit of sci-fi body armor? (Or fantasy armor, for that matter).

The breast plate on your Roman suit looks fantastic. I'm keen to see more of that sort of thing.

Or a Queen Bodicea outfit with a breast plate and a flowing cape. Can you make a conforming cape that still works well? Or a hybrid one? (Roxie the Roman would have someone to battle!)

Or Joan of Arc. Not the fantasy type junk with the ridiculous molded breasts that would break the poor girl's sternum if she fell. But something more realistic.

Just some ideas... :)

Made me think of this movie from the 80's called I'm Gonna Git You Sucka. There was a running joke that applies here. How do you suppose she goes to the bathroom with all that stuff on?

vilters ( ) posted Sat, 19 April 2014 at 5:02 AM

Not sure yet, but Rex-The Forestrunner will probably be next up.
Similar to Roxie the forestrunner.

Yeah,  think I"ll stick to male and female sets of the same "theme".

@ Rorrkonn
Ach, there is more then enough stuff like that being build.

I"ll stick to planet earth if you do not mind. LOL.

But I"ll still take requests. :-)

Same way hockey players do when they're in the middle of a game. :D (And I assume medieval knights in plate armor did it too.)

This is planet earth:

And, I'd think, technically challenging. But you are the artist, so you get to choose. Also, a forestwalker version for Rex would be cool!

For what it's worth, I have in mind a sci-fi armor set (somewhat Halo or Appleseed) for Rex and Roxie, with working indicator lights etc.  Also, LotR-esque elvish armor, and medieval European armor sets.  But it will be some time before I get to it.  The last few days I've only gotten mechanical work done on a rock crawler Jeep, no computer 3D work.  The TinkerBell set is my first priority, and then probably the Lothlorien environment - there's a dearth of environments for Poser.  I'm not sure where the new  TinkerBell's Drive-In Cafe' playset will come in my schedule.

what about doing that famous Agnetha(ABBA)Faltskog Cat-Dress including the boots?

vilters ( ) posted Thu, 08 May 2014 at 3:21 PM

In Agneta's real Cat dress, the sides are closed and the sleeves are also closed.
It is just a long mens "T" shirt with, a Cat design printed on, and a belt.

This was meant to be a suggestion, with a render that supposed to make you smile. Do you renember that picture series? So I was just following the topic. That dynamic clothing item was just the closest I could find in my runtime.

vilters ( ) posted Fri, 09 May 2014 at 6:59 AM

I went looking for pictures of the outfit, but it seems pretty easy to do.

i"ll let it brew overnight.

OK, I'll see what I can do, time permitting.
Things seem to go fast these days. LOL.

I remember ABBA having some stunning outfits.

Agnetha sure was one stunning retro-babe in her prime, and good work Timberwolf.

I actually thought to myself "ABBA" the moment I saw the pic before I'd even read the description.
You certainly nailed the look!

... on the outfit I mean, the face could use some work though

How would you like that outfit?

As close to "real" as possible or any modifications?

Can you share a picture? PS : I found some on the net, but they are all pretty small".
