LOLOL. There ya go!
To be completely honest, it's very unlikely that I would have noticed the angle of Roxie's foot if it hadn't been pointed out already. I'm not a dancer. Not even close. So my eyes don't catch these things. Probably most people's don't. I wouldn't stress over it. Depends how important perfection is to you. :) It can't hurt to get as much "right" as possible, though. And when you're actually getting feedback -- with real and useful suggestions (not just, "great pic") -- I guess it's hard to stop trying for that perfect image.
I'm rambling. Sorry.... :)

@pumeco - Actually that is one person, you can see a reference drawing here:

@eClark - The new image does look much better! It still make me instinctively go ouch, but it is more believable. Sorry for the niggles - but you did ask :)
What follows here is not to niggle you more, but I wondered why I was still getting an immediate ouch response. So, this is what I came up with.
I think my instnctive feeling also comes from the leg/foot position relative to the body, which is well forward of her center of mass. To be able to lift/unweight her rear foot from that position, she would need to have a significant amount of forward momentum with her center of mass. With the right heal being so close to the floor, with her right leg straight, all of the force of the forward movement would put a great deal of force on her ankle (plus now the knee appears to be turned a bit too far, which would also put significant lateral preasure on the knee). If the right leg/foot were moved slightly back, closer to vertical alignment with the body (similar to the orientation of the reference photo), it probably wouldn't make me instinctively go ouch. But it's hard to say for sure.
At this point, do you really need to worry about this for a product promo render? Probably not, because from some of the other responses here, it's highly likely that it won't "bother" over 90% of the people who see it. I was just "thinking out loud" to figure out why it still bugged me.
Honestly, I think you did a great job here. Your improvement in render quality and presentation from the first images is really impressive. Sorry for all the niggles, just my inner A personality getting carried away.

I don't think EClark should worry too much about it, if all he wants is a great promo render that will appeal to most people. But the feedback you're giving is absolutely awesome. Not just for him, but for the rest of us who pose our figures.
And essential, if he wants to make a pose-pack.

Quote - I saw ya thread about a male archer.
What about Roxies dance outfit ?
It's done. All I have to do now is upload it to CP. Next up is Rex's Dance outfit, then a version for Miki 4, and finally, by then, the Archer outfit for Rex. Right now, I'm having poke thru issues with Rex's pants because they have to be in extreme positions for dancing. When i solve that problem it's something that I can translate to other pokethru problems I'm having with Rex and Roxie.
Quote - Thing is, I corrected it, and people are still saying it's too much. The angle is no worse than Fifth position in ballet which turns the foot almost 90 degrees.
But the difference is that the knees in that photo are over the toes and the turnout is from the hip. That's not the same as the twisting that you had in your previous pose, even if the angle of the foot looks similar.
If you're going to do a pose pack to go with it please try to get it right
There are so many bad dance pose packs around!

Where's the fun in that?
Looks really good!! But ... I've got a couple of tiny niggles ... it just wouldn't be right without them
I'd make her right hand pose a bit more like the left. It looks good as is, just a personal preference.
The other thing, and I really don't know if you could easily do anything about it. The center of her outfit/body gets a bit lost because it is dark, and the background is dark. Maybe a very low intensity spot on the area would help bring it out from the backgroud a bit more without losing the dramatic lighting (and maybe highight her face slightly more)?
Honestly though, it looks really really good.

It's nice!
But niggles...... her right foot is a bit odd. It looks a bit like her toe is disappearing into her leg. I'd bring the foot away, point it and have her toe just touching the leg in a pirourette position. Or... pose her foot so that it's wrapping around the knee joint more like a yoga-type pose. Feet fit perfectly around knee joints, must be designed that way for some reason!
Nice job! Love the deep pink with the black background and white tights (and text). And the lighting is lovely.
I assume you can include more than one promo image with your package. If that's the case, then you can upload others that have more balanced lighting to show off the details of the outfit. This one is an attention getter. :)

Thanks! I might as well tell you now since it was not something I wanted to advertise before. The whole reason I was asking about a promo render was that I wanted to do a decent render for Content Paradise to put into it's banner rotation. I just uploaded the Roxie Dancewear to CP and hopefully later today, you may see the promo render we all did put into rotation.
The one above was actually done for the actual product page, but I screwed up and got the dimensions wrong. They're okay, but look a little sqeezed.
Quote - My promo banner is live at Content Paradise!
Congrats.
Now ,I want to see a Renderosity banner.

Rules of a good promo is simple really. Show the product in all its glory. If it is a dress, show the dress, in different poses, close-up of details etc, different angles, all that is included. You have one shot to convince people to buy it, so show it off. Basically answer all questions people might ask..EG what does it look like from behind etc. Also a promo is pointless if the actual product is lost due to "artistic renders" where its glory is taken away by over busy backgrounds. I am not buying artwork. I am buying what you are selling. That should always be the focus.
