**Welcome to the May 2014 Photography Forum Challenge**

** **Bill suggested a challenge for mobile phone shots - I like!
Jeff did a reflective 'selfie' and
many have done webcam shots.

Leave your DSLR at home and shoot with your phone!

**Please remember:
**Two images per member per week.
Image size: No larger than:
800 pixels X 600 pixels
and 200KB

Here is one I did for the challenge...

A shot of my mobile phone taking a shot of me, taken with the webcam on my laptop...

Oh, WOW, this is a great idea, and I'm totally exited about your two entries, 'guys'!

BTW, If I may mention Clive: you look a bit like Trevor Pinnock, which is an English conductor and a musician. Maybe you are also musical (?)
And Jeff, you look just like the middle of the charioteers on your avatar. And I adore your beautiful house on the background.

I'm such curious what we become to see more.

Awesome idea Clive! Love it!

outstanding idea! We are driving through the wilds of Nebraska right now, but I told Bill what your choice was for May, and he's very excited as well. Will start shooting soon!

Thank you, Mies!  I took a look at Trevor Pinnock online - I am not musical at all - even my shower runs cold when I start singing!

Haha, Clive, then it's good you live in South Africa, and not in Holland.
If you ever come to visit us and you want to be clean too, then unfortunately, I will never hear you sing. :crying: @ Christo, nice to meet you friend. You indeed look a bit wild to me ,
and it's great you succeeded so well with that camera.

@ Tara, a very special shot, and your phone seems a good one to me.

I have no iPhone, or tablet, so I have to do it with my camera.
I will try if I can take a picture while I'm hula hooping. (don't know how this is written in good English)
But, wish me luck. :thumbupboth:

Where would we be with technology.

Now we can even take fantastic pictures using cell phones.

Oh, well, do I believe you????. I mean the fact that you're completely clean.
I give you the benefit of the doubt, Clive.
Although, I have no idea how it is with your nose (on the avatar).
There must be a reason why you keep it covered, right?
What will there be to hide? 😕

dochtersions ( ) posted Sun, 04 May 2014 at 12:31 PM

That 'zipfile-macro-shot' is amazing clear, one does even need a camera anymore.
So to all those who have a cell phone, you can send your old camera to me. :D

Thank you Carin, Jeff and Tara for the lovely comments, they really make me happy, because it's for me a matter of daring to do something.
At the moment I'm really insecure about everything, but I can hide it well, right? 😉

Congratulations for taking the risk to do what makes you uncomfortable, my friend!  :)  You did a wonderful job, and got a positive result.  So easy!  LOL!  I'm proud of you for showing off for us, even though it was hard.  :D

@ Jacomina:  :)  Glad you like it!  This morning we're in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  We leave in a few hours and head into Wyoming.  Too much trouble to change my "location" so often!!  :P

@ Tara, Ah Wyoming, for a couple of years ago we had neighbors (very nice people) which came from Wyoming, they have gone back to their residence there.
I have an animal, a moose, I believe; the national symbol of this state. It is in any case an animal with a large antler on his head. Have a safe and lovely trip, my friends!

That's a very creative selfie, Melinda!  :)  I never would have thought to do that.  (Of course we don't pack a treadmill in the motorhome with us, either!  But still ... I could have done it on our walk yesterday!)

My friends, I hate my cell-phone cam and use it not often, so I am not able to do a clear photo with it. You will see...The same with selfies, I dont like them and I think there are nicer objects in the world than my face ;-) ... anyway, last weekend we had a visite from "auntie Ju" (Junkers), so i done a cell-phone pic beacause my beloved cam was at home...

wish you much fun and perhaps i go forward with this stupid cell-phone..;:-)

While we were driving through Wyoming and into Montana today, I took some pictures for this challenge.  We're all set up in camp now, so I'll check to see what I got.  Hopefully something worth showing you!  :)
