I export a Figure out as fbx and drop a face coversion key into the head so I can use MP3 or Wav files in and make them talk with lipsyncing capabilities. I do not use Blender for my animation, so you would have to try it. I also change the export rules to ie if it is a Genesis 2 female to ignore and make sure I have locked down all the morphs or it would just revert back to the standard G2 character. I then set them up to adapt to my motion files library and can even add right click perfom animation in IK based software. So no reason why you cant. If you need some screenshots re: the export rules let me know.

PS I choose "ignore" as an override so it would depend on what Blender reads and requires I have built another character ready for export and will do it shortly so while I am at it I will send one over to Blender and see what is required to get best results. I do know I can take the figure and import it into curve editors and other programs to build motion files bvh etc without too much drama.

I tried fbx into Blender which is available option but does not carry over too well, but did find this about Genesis1 & 2 to Blender I am not sure which figure you are trying:-)
