ctrl-c/ctrl-v to copy and paste the subject into the body of the post is quicker than typing "Subject".

Any skin shader (if you mean a literal shader) can be applied to a sphere, and a material preset can be applied either by selecting one skin surface, saving as a Shader Preset and applying that to the sphere or by applying the base shader to the sphere and then copying the settings from a selected skin surface on a figure. Of course the maps won't fit neatly - you will get a thumbnail of the texture wrapped around the sphere; using a fractional tiling repeat might eliminate the non-skin areas but you would still have a seam on one side, and the texture would shrink to a point at the poles, so the result might not be usable depending on your goal.
