I'm not sure if I'm at the right place. Can anyone here tell how to import Genesis2/3 figures into SFM? I try asking at steam but got no answer. So any help will be appreciate.

If you open the software SF and click the import you will either get a dropdown or look at the available options in the window when it opens to browse your files. I am guessing it will be FBX.(Most likely) Or Collada (.dae,)? and of course you might see OBJ but that would not be best for a character and more suitable for props etc. In Daz you will probably need to lock down your morphs or else on export anything you have done will revert back to standard. Just select the character and in Parameters click on currently used and lock everything on the list. When you export in FBX which is most common just add(Type) Genesis3female as I have done in screenshot under export rules and set to (Ignore), This should be able to be imported in your SF program and handle bvh motion files. If it is Collada or something else let me know and I will go through that but usually FBX is the fix all in my experience Screenshot (501).png

PS if it is Genesis2 then type that in export rules as you can see just add as required Victoria 6-7 etc. Anything pre Genesis might give you trouble in other software and probably not worth the hassle.

Hi there when you go to export out of Daz you see the drop down to choose file format. So this will be the same when you click import in SF click on the drop down or you will see the accepted file formats if you hover. Hopefully FBX will be there as it should. Either way we can work out what it accepts

Last I checked, you had to get assets into SFM through the Source SDK, and SFM could only use assets compiled for the Source engine. More information will be available at SFMLab.com. WARNING: THERE ARE SOME ADULT ASSETS POSTED ON THE SITE. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU ARE NOT OFFENDED BY ADULT MATERIALS.

Hi, I placed an OBJ. head on a Genesis 1's body, and used "change parent." to keep it on the neck... I want to export it as a FBX.file, but I like to attach the head on to the body, so I can put my characters in SFM.

I also heard you have to reduce the genesis' high poly mesh before I can port it to SFM, right?
