Subject: Deva3D products don't work in DAZ 4.9.1.30, but refund is refused

Vorlath ( ) posted Sun, 13 March 2016 at 11:12 PM · edited Sun, 12 January 2025 at 4:09 AM

What kind of customer support do you have here anyways? I emailed Rendo about some Deva3D products not working in DAZ Studio 4.9.1.30. They then reply back that I need to contact the vendor. The vendo did not sell me any products, Rendo did. That's who is on the receipt.

Merchant Renderosity payments@renderosity.com

That is the recipient. And it's not my job to go chasing people down.

Then I'm lied to my face about the product not being listed as supported by DAZ Studio 4 when it says so in the product page. Not only that, but these are G3F figures made by DAZ where the only software that natively supports G3F is DAZ Studio 4.

What kind of place are you guys running here? The worst part is I said I'd take store credit so I'd be spending it right away and you lose nothing.

Can someone answer me why it's so difficult to just get my money back?

Hello,

I have responded to your latest email.

I am sorry however you DID buy the products from the Vendor. We are a brokerage which means we provide a site where the Vendors are able to sell the products they work so hard to create.

I did not lie to you at all as I stated that it did not list the product works in Daz 4.9. There is Daz 4.8 and Daz 4.9, some products that work in Daz 4.8 may not work in Daz 4.9. I said this because you stated you were using them in Daz 4.9 in which it was not listed on the product page to work in Daz 4.9.

It is our Refund Policy to contact the Vendor if you are having trouble with a product so they can look into it and provide you with assistance or okay a refund.

If a product was misrepresented, we will issue a refund and then contact the Vendor to let them know one was issued and why so they can take care of the issue however, these items were not.

Each item sold over 100 copies and we have not had one issue or complaint, until know.

Again, please see our Refund Policy below:

Refunds in the form of in-store credit or replacements may be issued only within 30 days from the original date of purchase at the discretion of the vendor and/or the Renderosity Marketplace Staff. Digital Downloads In the event that a product is found to be defective, the vendor is unable or unavailable for support or the product description misrepresents the product a refund may be issued. Issuing refunds is at the discretion of the Vendor and/or the Renderosity MarketPlace staff. Refunds will not be given for software items that clearly state on the product page "all sales are final, no refunds" so please be sure to read product pages carefully before purchase.

Before refunds will be issued, we ask that the Buyer please contact the Vendor first to give them a chance to support their product. When a refund is issued, the Buyer needs to delete all files associated with the product and may not use the product. Customer initiated chargebacks/disputes may result in a permanent ban from Renderosity.

It does list DAZ 4.9 and you did lie about it. You're lying about it now. And I posted here to get someone else to reply because you are no help whatsoever.

And again, your policy does not trump contract law.

Please Kristi, do not reply here again. You are a complete waste of time and are not helpful in the least.

Hello.

You will need to contact the vendor for product support as that is our policy as Kristi has stated. The vendor may very well approve the refund for you if they are unable to help you with the product working correctly for you. We are required to give every vendor the chance to work with you to ensure your satisfaction with your purchase. This vendor on your orders is very active and would respond quickly for you. I could also contact them on your behalf if you would like for me to do that. Please let me know if you need me to do that for you.

Jenn

You might want to describe the problem with the product. Perhaps there is a solution that is a simple fix. Is the product missing installation files? Could the product have an incorrect file reference? If it's something minor it could be easily fixed. It could also be some minor setting within Daz Studio that's been changed during versions. I have found except for one vendor who I tried to reach who would not reply for about 5 weeks everyone here tried to help. In the end I gave the product a negative review detailing the problem I had mostly due to the vendor not responding and being unable to fix the problem as the product was co-developed by their partner who was not credited or listed in the product or read me. That person's name was in the actual .duf and cr2 file.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.
