As he walked toward the gate he knew he would not win this fight. She had guarded this gate for eons...there must be another way in. Quick render of Mehndi's new model, the gate. Has two beautiful textures. Rendered in Poser, no postwork. Marque

As he moved closer she did not move, but with a low rumbling sound the mountain moved back, and the colors of the gateway changed. What didi this mean? She remained unyielding. Above her head on the cliff he could make out the face of his beloved Queen, whom he had come to save. He must get through the gate and so rescue her. Marque

Yes, she did an amazing job with this one. Loads right up with no problems and renders so well. My lighting is probably too dark on the first one but I wanted it to look ominous. Marque

Marque, I like them both, but I'm partial to darker images so the first one is my favorite :)

I've had the pleasure of checking this arch out early too, and I must say it is stunning... I mean, you hear people talk about how they clean up their edges so that poser will render corners right, but until this model I didn't realize how much work that entailed... this thing renders magnificently. And the textures are just perfect... plus it comes with a few tilable textures to use in making your own. I dunno when it'll be out, but I'm pretty sure it's sometime soon, but it's worth the wait. :)

Excellent prop and all the images shown here are wonderful! Great job! :) Irene

Marque ( ) posted Mon, 15 October 2001 at 7:54 AM

I just know she works hard to make sure her stuff is clean and easy to use. Maybe mr. wgreenlee1 should show us what he is saying anyone can do. I know that I appreciate the stuffage that other people take the time and effort to make either sell or give away....too bad there are such rude people in the world. Marque

Bia ( ) posted Mon, 15 October 2001 at 11:06 AM

I agree, if I wanted to do it, I guess i would, but I don't! I REALLY appreciate all the efforts the modelers take to bring us stuff...simple or not, it all takes time and I would rather texture! So thanks!

wgreenlee1 ( ) posted Mon, 15 October 2001 at 1:21 PM

well i didnt mean to be rude but im only pointing out that these are easy to do,im not saying that Mehndi's work is for nothing,i cheerish any model thats been given away in the freestuff or i love the fact that she might sell these also but we can all strive to not only mimic her designs but improve on them and explore the possiblitys of creation,i was only testing the waters for a possible challenge but i see some people dont like me being me and would rather everyone march in step to the drum beat of constant praise,i really shoundnt be remarking at all considering i dont even have the ability to get up my own webpage free or not,so i can host some freestuff so i guess ill just shutup andf sorry if my comments seem rude,anyhoo..if anyone knows of a clean reliable next to nothing or free website or some that would like to have me send them some freestuff for them to host let me know and again sorry for my rudeness, thx and cheers

Marque ( ) posted Mon, 15 October 2001 at 1:48 PM

What kind of freestuff are you talking about? Can you post any pictures? I did not say I didn't want you here, just that it is rude to make comments about other people's hard work. I have known Mehndi for a while, and she is meticulous about her models. If you feel the need to improve on them or make some of your own then you should do so. That's what this forum is all about, but I wouldn't start out by making statements on how anyone with a 3d program could do the same. Marque

wgreenlee1 ( ) posted Mon, 15 October 2001 at 8:53 PM

ok,ok,ok,sorry,i apologise......but know Mehndis tougher than that for little ole me to ruin thier day,in fact i dont think i could do any better, there is a certian style to those things....if i tried to replicate them i'd look goofy(like i dont look goofy already)mine would be ok but they would be differant,so maybe i should just shut my big yapper...but i was wondering where can i get some of these...as i said they do have a certian style about them, cheers ;)

smiles Thank you all for your kind words about the Arch :) It should be out fairly soon. I am working on a backdrop kit to go with it, (if all goes well on that part) so that those of you who do not already own something like HManns excellent 3d Worlds stuff will have an environment to render it in. I hope to have it out before the end of the week, barring no sudden unexpected things I have to take care of. As to you mon petit wgreenlee1... well! ;) {{{{{"any little threed app and a uv mapper and anyone can make these archway thingys..." ...."but we can all strive to not only mimic her designs but improve on them and explore the possiblitys of creation"}}}}} I am often mimiced ;) It is the sincerest form of flattery they say. They say. I suspect "they" just needed an excuse to mimic. chuckles Be careful wgreenlee1. Your typing style is very distinctive, and I am certain that more than me recognize that typing style and recall someone who typed just like you in the past. Come outside of your clone body and speak on what you would like to mimic, and how easily anyone can mimic me, then I will talk to you man to man so to speak ;) Till then, I shall remain a lady and not spit on you, even to put out your fire :)
