Do you know in general how to install Poser-format content? The hair will work the same way, when you get a Poser library and a .duf with the same name DS will use the .duf file in preference to the Poser file. If not, the Runtime from the zip is merged with the Runtime in the content directory you wish to use - which must be selected as a Poser Format content directory in DS. So if you used the My Library folder the files would appear under Poser Formats>My Library>Figures>Some folder (the CR2), Poser Formats>My Library>Materials>Some folder (the materials, with DS files apparently - they will be indicated by a little scroll icon at top-left of the thumbnail), and so on.
Plain OBJ can be placed in a folder in a content directory listed under Other Import Formats in the Content Library pane; note that .mtl files (the material settings, such as they are) are a chancy thing, there's a fair chance DS won't find the textures and even if it does there may be maps for properties that MTL doesn't support; you are likely to need to spend some time making adjustments in the Surfaces pane.
Richard, after reading this over several times, I should probably answer "No". I can install things in Poser 10 no problem, but anything that is showing up under the Poser Formats in the Content Library of DS was put there by the install directly from the Daz site and I have no clue where its bits and pieces are. I am including two screen shots to see if it helps. Do I need to create a Poser Content folder in the User>Teri>Documents>Daz3D>Studio> . . . string? Did I read somewhere that there is a "Drag and Drop" option for installing this kind of stuff directly into the Content Pane in DS? If there is, I am still not sure how it works. Sorry to be a pain, but I'd like to learn how to do this kind of thing. Thank you for your patience. Teri
The My Library is already correctly set as a Poser Format Content directory, but if you already have the content installed for Poser there's no need for a second installation - just right-click on the Poser Formats heading in the Content Library, select Add Runtime Directory, and find the folder with your Poser libraries (that is, probably, Poser 10 Content - it's the folder that holds the Runtime folder that you want).

I've "mastered" getting Daz oriented files from non-Daz sources correctly installed, but I am having a major brain freeze when it comes to transferring items that are in the Poser format with .duf added material files. For example: SAV's Aram hair. It has the Geometries .obj, Character .cr2, Materials .mc6, Pose materials with the .duf and .pz2 folder plus the .pz2 refit folder, a Prop .pp2, and finally the Texture .jpg. Can someone lead me in baby steps through the process of importing this kind of item so all the pieces go where they are suppose to go and talk to each other correctly in Daz? In the "While we're at it" category, how do you handle an OBJ folder with 44 different .obj + .mtl files (Truform's skyscraper balcony)? I've tried finding this information online but the only one that came up was too terse. Thanks to anyone who is willing to tackle this for me.
