You can tell DIM where to put your files.
Click the gear in the top right corner, click Download tab and enter a new download directory in the spot marked Package Archive. You can also set thumbnail storage in Thumbnail Archive. Next click** Installation tab**. You can tell DIM where to store your Manifest archive. I think DIM uses that to remember what you have installed. Then you can add a custom content directory. That's where DIM puts your unzipped content files for DAZ to use.
Next go into DAZ Studio and hit f2 or click menu Edit -> Preferences. In the General tab, you can tell DAZ where to put your** temp files and DSON Cache files**. Then click Content tab -> Content Directory Manager. That dialog is weird, but click the + icons next to Daz Connect Data, Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats then click on the locations in each section and press Edit on the vertical menu to the left. You'll get standard directory popup for your OS and you can tell Daz where to look for your content.
Be careful when you do these things. You can screw up your daz installation. You may need to move files around to match your new locations. Good luck!
