Fun speculations aside, will there be an announcement when Smith Micro's old CP software catalog will get integrated into Rendo? I know Poser is there, but I'm asking for figures, clothing bits, etc.

Have you checked the legacy discounted products department, the SM stuff now under the vendor name of poser_software is there.

Nails60 is correct. All that we will be hosting is under the Poser Software vendor store. And no we do not intend to phase it out.

Is this why my serial number no longer works when I try running Poser, after having to reformat my computer? When I enter my serial number on the first run after reinstalling it, I get a message saying that the grace period has expired and to enter my serial number! I've raised a ticket, as Smith Micro now links to yourselves, as you're obviously now the new owners.

Yes we are the new owners.

And usually you get that error after you have installed more than the 3 installations limit on each serial number. I will be checking the support desk soon, OR you can send me an email to jennblake@renderosity.com with your serial number that you are installing with, email used when registering and your name. I will reset the serial for you.

What do you mean by change it to Renderosity? We have the purchase history and would honor any future upgrades using your current license. You do not need to do anything further.

I bought my licenses, and like any purchase software is like a car bought, it does not stop because there is no internet! i paid poser license since poser 3 of métacreation... do you intend to honor the old purchases contracted at smith micro? best regards

Are you able to check previous purchases of Poser from SM? Some time ago I upgraded my version 6 copy of Poser (and to be honest I can't recall exactly what version I upgraded to although I seem to think it was a ProserPro variant. Smith Micro had this weird time limit on how long you could come back and download the application; I believe they even had an additional fee if you wanted to be able to access it longer. I downloaded the application and dropped it onto a disk drive--but that was years ago, and in fact, I have since moved from Windows to a Mac. Can someone let me know what information I would need to provide other than my name and email address at the time of purchase? Is it still possible to obtain this software (outside of SM's unusual constraints)? Is it also possible to change the OS version of the software (Windows to Mac)? Thanks.

@djthomas Smith Micro has everything on Content Paradise that you purchased available to download unitl the 2nd of September at which point they will totally close down the website. SO anything you bought there is available to redownload.
