Subject: How to make clothing unselectable?

I never want to modify the clothing. Ever. How do I make it unselectable? I only want to be able to change joint angles of the body.

If I"m understanding you correctly, just go to the Objects menu, go down to "Lock", and hit it.

What I usually do is make the clothing invisible. The Hierarchy Editor lets you make figures, clothing, props, etc. invisible. (Click the little eye to toggle visibility on and off.) You won't accidentally grab something that's been made invisible this way.

Hmm, I think Locking the the object (or body part) won't do it. I'm not sure that's possible besides hiding the clothing so it cant be selected, move your joint, and then making the clothing visible.

Except that, even when invisible, the clothing will still move. What are you trying to accomplish here?

Hmm, the OP said 'modify' not move. I think the OP needs to be a bit more clear.

Why not modify the figure as you need, pose, and then just add the clothing? If it's conforming, then it should just snap right in place. No fuss, no muss.
