Take a deep breath ... yes ... you do NEED to update ... the licensing transfer makes it necessary and yes your program will stop working if you don't. Don't panic.
I hope these small adjustments help. Please let us know. We'll get you through this.

Thanks Boni but I still can't open the two upgrade files. As I said when I click (in any combination) all I get is a selection of programs which are no use for opening the files. Also what about these 'ere tickets! I had one accepted about the file opening but no response yet and where would I find the response? Noel
And the files are named PoserSupport.exe and Install Poser 11.exe ??

Hello Rhia474, Its Poser 11.1.1.35510. Which I'm very happy with. I wouldn't bother with the upgrade if my present setup would continue to work after doomsday! Anyway Poser pro 11 will probably only be available as a download (not physical) and would the download work? I could go back to Poser 10 I suppose!
I still don't understand how do you 'click open'. Do you have the program in your downloads folder on your computer? One left mouseclick should not open the file, it does nothing. A doubleclick should run it if it's an exe file and it's physically on your computer. Right click should bring up a menu where 'run' should be an option. A screencap is a picture taken of what is on your screen. Taken usually with either the PrintScreen button on your keyboard or using a program that came with your Windows such as 'Snipping Tool'.
Hello Rhia474, Of course from screen capture! Right, now then I've downloaded these blessed files. They're sitting there in the 'downloads'. I left click them or right double click. A small menu appears with 'open' at the top of several others with 'properties' at the bottom. I click open and a small screen appears with a range of standard programs none of which will attempt to open the files e.g. Adobe pdf reader tells me that it isn't able to open the file as its not a pdf document and looks very smug as it tells me! (you must be as tired of all this as I am!)
And where you are clicking these files...I think most of us are assuming you are looking at the files on your computer, not the website. On windows press the Windows logo key + E to open File Explorer. In File Explorer click on the downloads folder. In downloads you should see the two files you downloaded. Left double-click on "Install Poser 11.exe" and run that install. When that is done, left double-click on "PoserSupport.exe" to install that.
Nails60 Hi, 'Run as Administrator' doesn't appear. Looking at the files they are greyed out(?) and in properties described as 'file', no exe. or any other extension is visible! as for clicking, tsoren and Rhia474 , one left click highlights the file,2 left clicks gives me open as does1 right click. If I added .exe to the file in 'renaming' would that work?
Hello, all, Would you believe it! I added .exe to the files. The Poser insignia appeared on each and on clicking I got 'Run as administrator' After a cup of tea I shall see if installation occurs! Many thanks to you all for your efforts on my behalf! (Rhia474 it was you who said something like if its an .exe file it should open, Bless you.) Noel
In file explorer, by default, the file extensions are hidden. If you right click the file, and select "Properties" you should see some facts about the file such as size, and type of file. It should say it is an executable file (.exe) and the size should be about 1.17 GB for "Install Poser 11". If those two things are not true, the file may need to be re-downloaded.
Ah, just saw your post after I sent this one. Seems you are on your way. Good luck!
