You don't have to change the UVs to change the art on the side of the machine. Does the product have texture templates? If so, you can copy/resize those to use for painting. Your textures should be squares of squares for optimal memory usage. eg 1024x1024px, 2048x2048px, and 4096x4096px will be preferred.
The texture maps for all your content should be located in runtime/textures/ of your Daz library directory. You'll have to find the subdirectory with maps for the actual product. This is often an artist directory containing a folder with maps for the specific product. Once you find an actual texture, you can open that in your paint app and make a copy of it. You can apply your new textures to the copy or paint on a copy of the template, your choice. Save the new textures in that texture directory. Then replace the old texture in the appropriate surfaces with your new texture, and render.
There are procedures for saving updated textures as new surfaces in Daz, but that's beyond what I can do here. Sorry. I recommend searching for articles on Daz textures and materials. You can also finding tutorials on Youtube.
Thanks for the reply. I did exactly what you said a few days ago. I’ve looked in every location and can’t figure out where the original maps are located. More importantly I can’t figure out how they are populated without the runtime folder. By messing with the UV maps I was able to get one of the sides to show my art. But once you run to it doesn’t work and immediately shows the original maps again
I generally don't go back to the templates myself, I just load the jpg the prop is currently using into phtoshop then add what I want over it in layers. There are sometimes secondary pictures used for other channels you need to change also, if the diffuse map doesn't do what you want you have to go look for them. They are in the same place on the surfaces tab.

hello, I'm trying to replace the side art on an arcade machine with my own and am having one heck of a time. admittedly I'm pretty green with DAZ Studio. can anyone tell me where to go or perhaps a tut to learn? I've combed every folder for maps and so far I can only change the UV's. I've looked all of over DAZ studio and do see a place to edit the maps.
any help is GREATLY appreciated.
