Thanks so much

at first glance, I'd say that the front and back of the head are 2 different material zones and the shaders don't match. My second guess would be that the skin on the image map doesn't match. There also look like there is a similar seam on the back of the head.

Skin looks fine with other shader set ups. The skins all match. This is L'Homme, the line you see is where the Head and the Torso maps meet!

If the skin textures for the face and torso match then look at the shader nodes in the Material Room. A color chip or node value could be off somewhere causing a lightening/darkening of those areas. Check the face and head materials for consistency.

Well I thought that too but I have copied and replaced the nodes for the Face, Torso and Limbs with the same and then just browsed and changed out all the image nodes with the appropriate maps! Double checked to make sure I didn't mess up anywhere but they are all done correctly!

Richard is the posted image a render or a preview?

That's a finished render.

Are you sure that isn't a reflection of your skydome being shown across the head? It sure looks like it to me. I'd suggest changing/removing the Alternate_Specular and see if it still shows up.

RAMWorks ( ) posted Wed, 30 September 2020 at 9:10 AM

Yes, tried that as well, unplugged most stuff one by one and the issue remains so next is to try the lighting and see if that's the culprit.

Well strangely enough it's the maps themselves so not sure why I didn't notice this before. I'm in 3D Coat now fixing them. Thanks for the help!
