The good news is that Snarly is still as kind as ever and still working on updating his scripts for Poser 12.
And thank you for your help, sir :)

For example, it has been found that the anisotropic setting was not working correctly in P12 Superfly, something that was corrected in the latest builds. I also believe that the specular node was not working as it should since P11 for Superfly, another feature that was actually broken for a long time and recently corrected. HDR background projection was broken in one of the builds, I was one of the first to report the problem. A good number of these problems have been posted in the forum and subsequently reported to the techs.
There was also an issue reported by me where, in early Poser 12, any Subsurface Scattering connected to an image was rendering green. Corrected.
Also a bug that Bagginsbill found by accident when trying to help me some time ago, in P11, that when you have the exact same value for two of the RGB channels in PhysicalSurface root's subsurface scattering values, it renders as if it were black. I don't think that one was ever addressed, but haven't tested it - a lot of Superfly issues have been corrected in the newest versions of P12.

I've got some great news to share, Snarly's scripts are ready to be shared! You'll find them all here at poser.cobrablade.net, the new Poser 12 ones as well as his classic scripts for anyone still using earlier versions of Poser!
EZSkin for Poser 12 is still being worked on by Snarly, but even now will save anyone having to set up their scene in Poser 11 then re-opening it up in 12 just to still have access to the wonder script.

It's an honour to host them Snarly :) Hey ChromeStar, when I get a chance I'll look into adding some descriptions for each of the scripts.

I updated the links in the directory. Thanks for the heads up, CobraBlade.
So, am futzing with EZSkin. It seems that at least with the skins of V4 and M4 that I tired so far, the lip definitions need to be manually changed to match the skin; otherwise there is a rather noticeable sharp delineation around and the colors, especially with M4, are just...not right.. Once that is updated, they look great; but so far I couldn't use the out of the box option alone (much like with the other skin script I tried, some values MUST be played with).
Example of V4 (with EZ Dome, one background drop and one light):
I've added pop-up descriptions over on poser.cobrablade.net for anyone that needed them.
While the Poser 12 version of EZSkin's script is up and running great, the shaders are the part still under development, so be sure to keep an eye on this space :)

I suppose I should ask. Recently, I've undertaken adding more DS links to the Directory. So I'm curious to know, which scripts will or won't work in DS and preferably which version?

These are Poser scripts Earl, so won't work in DS. Poser uses Python for it's scripting, and I'm pretty sure DS does not.

Google says this:
ECMAScript Language Daz Script 2 is a dynamically-typed, interpreted, object-oriented scripting language that is tightly integrated with the Daz Studio API . It is an extension of QtScript, which is an extension of ECMAScript as defined in the ECMAScript Language Specification (ECMA-262).
So, def not Python.

I was going to say QtScript, as that's what I remember from when I was using DS, back in the day. I just wasn't sure if they had updated to something else since then.

From the official doc page:
V4.8.7: End-of-Life (as of December 2015). And the V6.2 is soon to be released. Looks pretty much like Poser's Python 2/3 problems. Reference: here.

Let me know if the shadow catcher renders as a misty field by default LostAlien. That's what I had with my testing, but it would be interesting to know if the same was for anyone using a Mac.

Thanks sorting thru which script to use between versions is causing a lot of dysfunction sorting error stalls in non flowing work blockage log jam of idea/images

Only the Poser 12 scripts at the top will run in Poser 12. With the legacy scripts, unfortunately, I never backed up older version of Poser so with Smith Micro out of the picture I only have access to Poser 12&11 so wouldn't be able to test if any of them stopped working after a specific version prior to 11.

don't most contemporary scripts still run in 11? Okay more than one native runtime/python directory at a time

You may even have a unique collection of scripts that works either with Poser 11 or Poser 12, and have at the same tîme the collection that adapts itself, using Poser's Python menu.
Example:
import poser
version = poser.AppVersion()
if version[0:2] < '12':
poser.DefineScriptButton(1, ":Runtime:Python:PoserScripts:ScriptsMenu:EZSkin3.pyc", "EZSkin3")
poser.DefineScriptButton(2, ":Runtime:Python:PoserScripts:ScriptsMenu:ezdome.pyc", "EZDome")
poser.DefineScriptButton(3, ":Runtime:Python:PoserScripts:Cyp:V11:Launch_Object_manager_P9.pyc", "Object Manager")

poser.DefineScriptButton(5, ":Runtime:Python:PoserScripts:Cyp:XLC_V11:XLC.py", "Extended light control")
poser.DefineScriptButton(6, ":Runtime:Python:PoserScripts:ScriptsMenu:Netherworks:Material Tools:Transfer Material.py", "Transfer Material")
poser.DefineScriptButton(7, ":Runtime:Python:PoserScripts:Cyp:tools-v11:tools.py", "Tools...")
else:

Also depends on what version of Poser a script was originally made for as Poser 12 isn't the 1st version of Poser to receive an updated Python engine.
