@ Y-Phil and !Firefilefly!
I've tried both methods and neither worked.
Using the "Floating" method I still get the white bar across the top of the window with the close window "X" which is not there in its default setting. Using the "Factory Pre-set" only resets the scene and lighting. It does not reset the windows.
I thank you for your advice.

Then, would you mind to share a printscreen of the whole?

I have found a way to re-dock the document window. Instead of selecting "Launch to Factory Scene" under the document tab, I needed to go to the Interface tab and select "Launch To Factory State", which keeps my scene settings the way they were, but resets the interface windows.
Now it's the simple task of closing those windows I don't use or need.
I do thank !Firefly! for putting me on the correct path.
now that you have it fixed, open your UI memory dots, if they aren't open, and save one so if you mess it up again, all you have to do is click on one dot to fix it. If they aren't open, they're just over halfway down the windows menu. Hotkey is ctrl, shift, m.

I'll have to try this. I ran into the same problem, and could not re-dock it. I assumed it was a Poser 12 bug, since it's never happened in Poser 11, but has happened repeatedly in Poser 12. I've been just letting the window float, at the same size and position that it used to be docked.
I wish they would make it default to have the "Don't drag" and the floating or drag and drop as options. I have to run snarly's script every time I re-open Poser.
So Renderosity, how about doing an update for Poser and fixing those pallets so they are docked by default? :)

I don't understand why you need to run the script every time you open Poser when the app actually remembers the preference upon shutdown. Just uncheck Drag-Docking enable and you're done. If you don't feel comfortable with that procedure then just save your settings through General Preferences or create a UI Dot. Guaranteed, unchecking Drag-Docking enable and the window will not move from its docked position.
Thank you. I've not met this problem, but I've learned something new against a future 'Murphy Bomb' such as low-flying cat..
Autumn has arrived, the cats are eating for twice their number: On cool evenings, 'Ms Robbie the Ratter', our tabby huntress, will come in from patrol, leap onto my desk, march to-and-fro purring, then sprawl across my right arm. Fortunately, I use a track-ball...
P12 clearly don't like RE-docking its panels. I was going to suggest using a UI dot when you have it set up nice. Saved me lots of trouble!

I've accidentally undocked the document window from its default position and can't seem to get it back.
I've done so before and ended up reinstalling Poser 12, which is something I'm loathed to do again, as I've quite a few libraries that I need to access.
So, is there an easy way to get the document window back to its default state without reinstalling Posser 12?
