Not sure how well you're going to do with this as a pay site. People can see hundreds of pictures just like this at Renderotica for free.

its not going to be a pay site is it?????????? No offence but i wouldnt bother, like fauve says, people can see thousands of images for free oon the net if there that way inclined! daz

I do have to say one thing. I have never seen a page take that long to load!

Well I got as far as the 'big-assed' animated gif. When i seen the dimensions for it, then realized it was an animated gif, i just left and came back here. I don't know too many folks that would wait long for a page to load before they went someplace else.
Also I see that fauve mentioned that it was going to be a pay site, (I guess fauve hung around long enough for it to load). Well meaning this in the nicest possible way, your layout, at least what I did see before leaving, was rather simplistic to the extreme. From the text and horizontal rules that I did see, you are seriously lacking content and design. You might want to go to one of the various sites that deal with helping beginners in the basics of good web page design. One of the very first things that a lot of them will tell you is NOT to have large animated gifs. It is a major turn-off to surfers. At least I didn't get any of those pop-up windows.
Don't be discouraged by my words here. I urge you to try new designs and new layouts. With a little practice, and some patience, I'm sure, in time, you will be able to create a site that is both surfer freindly, and more mature,(for lack of a better word, no pun intended).
Should you need any leads to web sites that offer decent instructions to the art of web site design, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will help you all I can.

Ciao

"for those broadminded of us" are you insinuating that those of us who aren't into pornography, are narrow minded? you would do better not to insult people while asking them to visit your website.

"Also I see that fauve mentioned that it was going to be a pay site, (I guess fauve hung around long enough for it to load)." Fauve had some time to kill and a ISDN connection ... :-> There was a notice on either the first or second page (can't remember which) that the site was free "for now", but would soon become a pay site. I checked it out because I wondered what these folks think they have that Renderotica doesn't, to a point that would make people whip out their credit cards (among other, more obvious things... heh) to look at their pictures. This site confirmed what I've always thought, which is that there's no income potential in Poser porn.

"This site confirmed what I've always thought, which is that there's no income potential in Poser porn."

Actually - there is some .... but not in this type :)I have been dealing with adult sites for a lot of years now (I wrote the hit counting and database code for YNOT and some other sites) and watching and learning how the guys who make money do it. Right now, the issue on the 'net is quality, not quantity. Really good erotic art will always sell .. and poser is a good tool to work with )though I wouldn't do a final render in it).

Actually, I have often thought that some of the people who do such good work here could make some extra money that way.  I have a project in mind that I was going to do on my own but I don't have time to generate the artwork.

If anyone is interested in getting an idea for the possibilities of making some money from their artwork... on the order of 20-30 an image then drop me an email (soulhuntre@soulhuntre.com) and I'll be happy to discuss what I have in mind. But, you have to be able to do erotic (not pornographic) work that is sensual and technically adept - thing Playboy or high art imagery... not intercourse shots and big polygons :). If your not sure of the type of 'photography' I mean you can see some of it at one of the sites I designed and help admin (www.dream-scapes.com) Anyway - just a thought :)

Thank you for all your comments and opinions. 1. My or the my sites intentions is not to instult anyone like those like Dizzie. I have stated in those terms as their are people who say that we are broad or narrow minded in what we do! I cannot please everyone. 2. We are considering to make this a pay site but I have not made any decision on it so far. 3. Since I loaded up the site their were major server problems and those of you had experienced long delays for the site to load. That is beyond my control. I experienced the same problem and I have an ISDN connection. 4. The Web design and content I agree is a little bland and this will improve over time. I am presently working on a design that I hope to replace this soon. 5. Peoples conception to the word "Erotic" is varied throughtout the world some say is another name associated to pornography and some say just adult art. No offence meant but this will please some people and some it will not. However I am fully aware to know what the meaning of "Erotic". For all your information, I place my art work regularly at Renderotica for others to view it, but was not able to put it on my original website. So I set this site up for that end and for others to add their work there to.

And I, for one, am glad you did. I always like to see people put their work up... and I don't have any problems with someone working to make a few $$$ with it :) If you do decide to go pay, we have had real good experiences with CCbill for subscription billing.
