Subject: Exporting from poser

Navim ( ) posted Fri, 03 June 2022 at 7:06 PM · edited Wed, 05 February 2025 at 9:03 PM

Does poser 12 export any better than P11? I just bought a tree model from Dinoraul only to find it was in poser format, Since I work in Bryce this means I will have to export the model and my success rate with the p11 vers. is approaching pathetic.

Thanks

I do believe the marketplace requires products to include obj files with all models. You might look in the geometry folder. What format are you exporting to? I've never had any trouble with obj from any version of poser.

I use Poser 13 and win 10

I will check to see if an obj is available. Big problem i run into is bryce not asking for any texture file upon opening the obl, Wondering if this requires a reinstall of bryce?

I checked the file and it is only poser content

When you export the tree, check use full texture path in the export options pop up.

Good morning. I tried checking use ftp's as you suggested and the leaves show up as rectangles. I want to thank you for your help but this is just too much time to spend on a model when there are other sources for less expensive models that work. I am going to ask renderosity for a refund and will not purchase any more plants from this vendor

Regards,

Sounds like you have texture plus transparency mapped onto place-holder rectangles. Much, much lower-poly than drawing each leaf's near-fractal detail...

Please check for transparency map(s). If not stand-alone, may be texture's Alpha-channel in PNG, or equivalent in eg DDS.

Free 'Irfan View' is your graphics-format friend...

Thank you, but I have already deleted the model file.
