I haven't used the FBX import in a while so I had to make sure it hadn't got broken. It imported the animation as expected. Where did the FBX come from?
I got the fbx from Adobe Maximo site.

Hi, it is possible that the FBX version of the file is too old. I was able to import it into Poser 12, after importing/exporting from SideFX Houdini as FBX v2020.
Try converting the original FBX to a recent format, it seems that will help you. It is possible Autodesk has something for this I don't know.
There is another thing you can try, it worked for me: while comparing the original and the one converted via Houdini I notice that in the bone names, I noticed that double dots ":" was replaced by underline "_". So I opened the original in text editor, search/replaced "mixamorig:" to "mixamorig_", save as copy, now it imported in P12 as expected too!
Which text editor did you use? I used word pad and office word and after saving the file it wouldn't open in poser or even windows. There is another thing you can try, it worked for me: while comparing the original and the one converted via Houdini I notice that in the bone names, I noticed that double dots ":" was replaced by underline "_". Notepad++ on Windows PC, https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/
I tested today again just to make sure, yes it works, replace all then save it:
OOh that's a good tip to remember. Ive run into a few instanced where something had to be renamed in a bvh file too in order to work. nice.Notepad++ on Windows PC, https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/

Thank you for that info about Notepad++.
Why that should work but neither Notepad nor Wordpad is interesting...
Also, have you tried any of the Truebones' animated FBX freebies ??
I do not know if he's 'just lucky' or uses Autodesk's official SDK, but his FBX models and conversions all seem to 'Play Nice' with my P_11.3...

Disclosure: I bought Truebone's 'PMX to FBX' Converter ($$) to get rigged MMD figures into Poser. IIRC, it also ports animation.
Two 'gotchas'...
This first version cannot port texture calls. Hand-loading those within Poser may be tedious, but totally beats trying to rig figure..
Do NOT port PMX models flagged 'TDA' or 'TDA-derived', as their 'T&Cs' prohibit use outside MMD environment.
IIRC, TDA's author was badly affected by SL piracy, slammed the door...

How do I import FBX animations into Poser 12? In poser 11 when you import FBX with an animation it plays with the rigged figure. But in Poser 12 when I import an FBX with animation it just has the rigged model and T pose.
Is there an option or setting I'm missing?
