If it's working with one object but not another, I'd check the object first. Have you tried other seat objects?

I use Poser 13 and win 10
Here are the captures. 1st image when entering the bench in the collision parameters. 2nd image by unchecking the bench and inserting the box that I created instead as explained above. I can't explain the phenomenon other than the fact that you can't check the bench alone, so is it the "GoalCenterOffMass" that causes this?
Looking at the first one, it appears there is unseen geometry. Other items with goalcenterofmass checked don't have that problem.

I agree that it looks like there is a stray vertex above the bench, there is no other reason for it to do that.
I find it common to have to use hidden props as colliders. Mesh resolution and shape have a lot to do with it. It also makes it easier to set up that way in complex simulations.

Uh. I've never had this happen, so I'm pretty confused - will leave this to the others with more tech knowledge than I do xD

What bench is that? There must be something that collides inside the clothing. Maybe it was imported wrongly in Poser. Did you saved and reload it or starting it from scratch every time? What I also would try is to load the bench obj file in a modeler to see if there are not some polygons that would collide with the clothing in that area. Maybe one is already enough to do this but, in this case, it would mean that Poser 13 was improved in collision or that the subd level of the bench was changed.
It has nothing to do with this bench because I had the same problem with another seat and another item of clothing. This happens when you enter anther props than the clothing you want to simulate in the collision parameters. This is the second time I've encountered this problem with Poser 13 which I bought not long ago, which is why I opened this post to talk about it.
I will try to duplicate it on my side when I find the Bench. From what I can see on your screen shot this bench seems to be a Figure and not a simple prop. That said I am regularly simulating multiples props and Figure collision and never seen this so very curious if I can duplicate it. I am on win 10 and you?
Windows 10 too, I opened the bench geometry file in hexagon and it presents no problem (anyway I had the same problem with another seat and another item of clothing). Yes it's a figure (cr2) but the colisions work just as much with props as with figures and anyway it works very well in Poser 12. Would you like to try it if you have Poser 13?
Bondware seems to be trying to pack things in a "theme" way instead of a "type of content" way. LF2's included bathing suit got tossed into the props folder too, even though it's conforming.On the other hand, I don't understand why, being a figure, it is found in the props part of the library. I didn't change anything when loading the content of pose 13.

On the other hand, I don't understand why, being a figure, it is found in the props part of the library. I didn't change anything when loading the content of pose 13.
I have two CR2 hairs that are only present in the "Hair" part of the library, too, whereas they have to be conformed.

Yes I tryed it in Poser 13. What I wanted to say with the dress showing in the select object window is that the object you select as clothing object for the simulation is not showing in the select object window so wondering why your 40ParisDress2-1 apears there.
I will do a quick video tomarrow to show you how it is working on my computer

What I mean is that your clothing is not parented to LaFemme2. In my video you can see that my cloth is parented to the hip of LaFemme2. Normaly this should not matter but you never know so I was mentioning it. The vide below is at two time the normal speed so that it dose not take too much time and also done using Poser 13.

But this box is checked with the rest, it's just that the menu is not expanded on my screenshot, and the belt which is a smart props related to the character's abdomen is unchecked. 1) With both dress and La Femme in default position, select the dress.
2) Assuming it is a prop, choose Object > Change Parent.
3) In the dialog that appears, select La Femme's HIP as the parent.
In regards to the bench being a CR2, are you saying you are not able to uncheck the Goal: Center of Mass objects, and leave only the body part named "prop" in there?

Clothing is, in realitty actually more of a costume or prop that is added to the scene (especially given that the icon for props is a hat, which is a type of clothing). In addition, it was confusing (especially for newbies that don't understand the difference) to have to look in Figures for conforming clothing, and Props for dynamic clothing. as for parenting an object I know how to do it and record it in smart props of course but you don't parent a piece of clothing before simulating it.
The Poser's answer :
"This will happen when there are multiple figures in the simulation and the cloth has vertexes in the Constrained group. When there is more than one figure in the simulation Poser needs the clothing item to be parented to the figure so it knows what the constrained vertexes are supposed to stick to.
Indeed the solution is to parented the dress to the character before doing the simulation, I owe an apology to all those who gave me this astonishing solution that I did not know about and indeed it works. This happens because the bench is a figure and not a props. Now I'm waiting for Poser's answer to find out what has changed in Poser 13 because there doesn't seem to be this problem with Poser 11 and 12.

For clothing simulations in a seated position I used to proceed like the tutorial below that I created and which is on my site.

With poser 13 including the "seat" object in the collision parameters gives very strange results, the clothing deforming in an exaggerated way. I managed to get around the problem by including a primitive cube object of the same size as the seat and positioned on it which I enter in the colision parameters in place of the chosen seat and which I make transparent when rendering. Do you think this poser 13 bug could be fixed?
