Subject: Having trouble with installing items from Renderosity

I have a Daz studio and having install problems with Renderosity. I have the new Daz update and Renderosity files are not placed correctly. I noticed that the new Daz is installed differently than the older version. Do you have any suggestions?

Which version of Daz Studio are you using? How is the new Daz Studio installed differently?

The 4.23 version of Daz Studio is in Public Beta but hasn't been officially released yet, so don't know about the differences. Can't imagine though that with a point release, that a major change to Content folders would have been made.  At least intentionally.

But as with all Renderosity products, often the best way is to look at the Read.me file from the product Zip. That'll have to artists name of course which can help, but often you can glean which folder it actually got installed into.

What I've taken to doing lately is that once the product elusive is found, I do a screen capture of where.

DazStudio has absolutely no problem finding custom folder locations as long as they are noted in Edit/Preferences.  I use a custom folder for renderosity products on D: drive. They tend to not have smart content metadata, so there is no point mixing them with Daz content. They are usable through the Content Library tab.

The placement of the application has no connection to the placement of the content in any event. In order to help we really need to see the settings you are using, and where your renderosity ciontent is being placed (and what you are unzipping - if the zip ciotnains a Content or My Daz 3D Library folder first then you want to dig down into that and extrace the content to your content directory, not extract the Content or My Daz 3d Library folder itself).
