Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:11 pm)
I'm forever ending up with no transmap applied. It happens if, last time you had the materials dialogue open, you had "Changes apply to whole figure" checked and then you open it again with your transmapped object selected in the main window, and it has no transmap applied to the first material (which is often the case for "Preview" for example). If I notice I cancel, select a solid object, reopen and untick the whole figure box before picking the hair (or whatever) from the dropdown list at top left. Richard
Johnny, the little cloud points you see is how transparency looks in an unrendered screen. The texture shows normally when you've rendered the image. Unfortunately, Poser won't show transmapped items on the screen before render, even in Texture Shaded mode. Also, be sure to turn on anti-alias in Render Options before you render. Melanie
The easier way of dealing with the pre-render work, is to select the hair, then go to the "display" pull down, select "element" then "cartoon".....it will then show up, though flat and monochromatic. Still, it will render the way it is supposed to and you dont have to mess with your transparency settings. Scarab<-(wish I could say this is my idea, but some other genius came up with this.....)

I have downloaded and installed digital babes hair and it looked great but I am having some trouble installing it. I put the RSR file in the hair section in runtime and it shows up under the hair library but when I apply it, I only see an outline for the hair, I try to add a texture but nothing comes of it, am I doing something wrong?
