Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 11 3:50 am)
Hmmm? This sounds famillar. I've run across the same problem with objects I made in Amorphium Pro. They worked fine in Bryce but not in Poser. I found to options to deal with it. #1 Does Amapi have a smoothing filter? In Amorphium, I found using it on my object before exporting it as an obj. file works, but it may round edges more then you want. You'll have to play with it to see how much you need to smooth it, to fix it. You can test it in Poser by applying any texture to it. Once you have it all fixed, then you can UV map it. #2 Export it as a DFX. file then import it into Poser, Use the grouping tool to creat a new UVed prop. Then export the new prop as an obj. file, then use UV mapper. Hope that helps. :D

This has never happened to me before, and I'm stumped! I've made a model in Amapi, exported it as an .obj file, imported it to Poser, resized it, exported it out WITH groups checked. Opened it in UV mapper, - mapped it, - saved the model again and the texture map. No matter what I do, PARTS of the model turns black. Any known causes and solutions? Thanks! Britt
