After 2 weeks of doodling, exploring Poser 4 and downloading free props,I decided it was time to try a serious piece of work. Reasonably happy with my progress so far, except the left arm in my picture has a serious medical problem. The character and clothing are standard P4 but no matter what I try the left arm and shirt sleeve remain bloated and way out of proportion to the rest of the figure. Thanks, Tommy.

Hi Niles, Jack Russell tex came from http://www.fignations.com/jelisa/fignations/presets/animals.html ,no morph is needed, just taper the face a little, the brow is lowered a touch to create a snoozy look

Good image! You know you could drop a picture in to use as a background? Just "Import" the picture that you want to use. I really like the dog, too. I'm sorry, I can't help with the P4's arm, though. I use Michael. Happy Rendering! Jay

Love you picture, and of course the dog! Have you tired to just taper the sleeve using the dials? If his/the mans arm shows thru, just click onto it and make it invisible, that way you only have the sleeve to contend with. Genny

Hi genny, I just tried shrinking the lateral portions of the characters arm with the parameter dials, then the shirt to match, that helps. Confused by your suggestion of IVISIBLE ?, I cant find a command or process for that purpose apart from hiding the whole figure?,or is that what you are referring to? Thanks, Tommy.

All you have to do is, double click onto the part of his body that you want to be invisible. A box like this should come up, and just un-check it, it will still be there, but you won't see it. (:

It looks like the upper arm got twisted around somewhere. Id suggest making the shirt sleeve invisible and taking a look at whats going on under the hood.

I think maybe his left arm is just a tad bit too much akimbo. Maybe bring his elbow in closer to his body, maybe it would improve the way his sleeve looks. I can't guarantee that will work, but it might be worth a try. His arm is sort of in an unnatural angle away from his body. It makes him look too tense. If he's reading a book, he should look a little more relaxed. And I agree, the dog is great! Wonderful image. Melanie
