Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
That's pretty much what I found with the Muscular3 morphs...the legs don't quite work perfectly at full body morph. Still, what's really important is that the clothes reflect the body shape you wanted. Its still easier to make totally covered body parts invisible since the pose can cause poke through no matter what you do. The same problem shows up with default bodies in default clothes shrug.
I used only the pbmMuscular1 morph. I didn't do any of the others yet... Which brings up a point... Can we distribute the CR2 files once we have created morphs for them? It shouldn't be in violation of copyright since, except for specific instances (ie. michael 2, etc.), the CR doesn't contain copyright material and aren't usually useful without the original mesh (OBJ) already in your possession. This would be terrific as people who have tailor could then convert clothing and post it... that way not everyone in the community is doing the same work.
Most products will contain a line in the read me which states "Distribution of any part of this product is a copyright violation". But I've found through my Pamela product and over 90 modified cr2's I've made so far for her, only one single vendor has turned me down for distributing (freely). My suggestion is contact the person who made the clothing and ask nicely - most people around here are really great s
I've just been checking the CR2 of Victoria's bodysuit and there are the deltas for the morphtarget included (which I then realised that they'd have to be). So what is important is if The Tailor "squeezes" the morphs in the same way as Bushi's Morph Squeeze progam, as otherwise you'd be distributing parts of the origional mesh which is against Daz's EULA. If it doesn't, you'd have to export the morphs one by one in poser, squeeze them and then reimport them into the clothing before saving to the library. And of course as Xena points out, it is all down to the creators wishes. Alla
Morphs contained in a .cr2 are not in .obj format. They are stored at the "Difference" between the original .obj file for the figure and the position of the same point in the morph .obj when it is applied. .cr2's should be freely distributable, with the exception of ones that contain commerical morphs - Like Mike 2.0 Vickie 2.0, any of the character files here, etc. Clothing .cr2s shoulden't be an issue. I welcome people to make morphs, character fitting versions, etc for my clothes. You don't even have to ask me :)
;) Cool! I need some time to play with the program. It looks like alot of fun! So if you want to do the morphs from a FBM, you point it at one of the pbm dials in the human .cr2? I tried it yesterday, but rather quickly, and I may have pointed it at the wrong thing (Of course I didn't read any of the documentation ;)
If I understand how the program works... it's no different than making morphs for clothing using magnets... which does not violate it. The clothing CR2s don't actually contain any copyrighted information from the original mesh. So if I open up Vicki 2, morph her to Muscular and then use Tailor to create morphs for Traveler's Battle Princess armor... the battle princess doesn't actually contain any information from the Vicki file. It only contains the information to deform the Battle armor around the Vicki morphs. IF I understand what the software does.
As the DAZ rules read (and this is just my opinion) there should be no problem, because the morphs are being made in the clothes. You arn't distributing Mike or Vickie 2 morphs, you are distributing morphs for clothes that fit the mike and vickie 2 morphs. Also it's a one way street, you can't take a piece of clothing holding the tailor created morphs and create the original morphs from a V2 character file in a V1 character file. I have been supporting Mike and Vickie 2 body shapes in my last three products and that is basically the same thing, except I use magnets and this uses a program. If anything I think that would encourage this because it means that V2 and M2 become more usable....
"So if you want to do the morphs from a FBM, you point it at one of the pbm dials in the human .cr2?" For each body part represented in the clothing item, select all the pmb morphs in those same parts of the figure's body for that effect (say pbm Muscular1). Once you have them all selected, first select "morphs selected are like one body morph" from the "create morphs" menu, THEN select "create morphs". If you don't, the program "interprets" the affects each pmb morph would have on the adjoining body areas and it will create extra morphs you don't need. Then you deselect all the pbm Muscular1 morphs, select all the pbm Muscular2's, etc. Its a little tedius, and the creation process isn't lightning fast, but it works. And no, its not a "perfect copy" but it makes the clothing fit and for that it does a pretty impressive job. The only bad part is needing to adjust each new dial one by one in the clothes. Still hoping for that tutorial on how to slave them to a new FBM dial (HINT HINT)
Where here is how you do that :) -Set your morph dials -on the command bar: Figure-->Create Full Body Morph -Give it a name (Because of cross talk issues don't name it the same as the FBM in the original figure) -Ctrl-Shift-F will zero all of the morphs for you. -Select the body from the pull down menu under the document. -Dial your new FMB to 1 -Done :)
Hi there, I personally have no problem with cr2 redistribution so long as it isn't a conflict. For example, Vicki2.0 is just more morphs. Anyone putting time into it is always appreciated. A email explaining the item would be cool. And I usually just ask that the original read-me be included. Where is this program? Regards, Anton

Boy I figured out how to get the Tailor to work with Marlin Fingle. I'd previously created a Marlin morph for all his body parts and stripped out all other morph targets. Now I'm having a devil of a time figuring out just how to make Mike's clothes work with any/all of his morphs. I've read this thread, and remain confused. Example: (Traveler) "Where here is how you do that :) -Set your morph dials -on the command bar: Figure-->Create Full Body Morph -Give it a name (Because of cross talk issues don't name it the same as the FBM in the original figure) -Ctrl-Shift-F will zero all of the morphs for you. -Select the body from the pull down menu under the document. -Dial your new FMB to 1 -Done :) " *** Are we doing this procedure in Poser or Tailor?
