P.S. Go to Larry's site for the patch--his is newer than the one at MCs site

The Final version will come after this one.

I already had a slight problem with it. If you installed the old patch, the new patch won't recognize it as a "valid file." It apparently only recognizes the "original" ones that shipped with P4. So what I did to make it work, was to install a second copy of poser 4 and then just moved the Poser4.exe,.rsr, and one other file, but I'd just suggest moving all the files from the root of the new Poser 4 directory, except the Runtimes folder, into the working copy you have on your system. It installed just fine. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like they fixed quite a bit. I'll keep you all posted.

Well, I am going to wait until youall 'shake it out' (LOL)--and if Jeff is right, I'll just wait until the 'final' one. Diane

You're supposed to do a fresh install of P4 from the CD, then apply the patch. -JH.

It would help if all patch installers did this:- (0) Copy Poser's (or whatever) directory tree to another place, just the directories, no files. (1) As it alters or overwrites each file, first copy the old file into the corresponding place in the copy of the new directory tree.

try xcopy . "..poser 4" /d /s Worked for me. Assuming your old patched directory is "poser 4" and your new directory is inside the metacreations folder along with your patched directory. If you're using one of those funny colored curvey computers I have no idea how to fix it.

But I don't want to copy the whole of Poser including stuff that the patch doesn't alter: that would take up too much filestore space.

That is what the /d does. Try xcopy /?. It has something like 20 odd command line options.

I've had exactly the same problem. Except one shoe to the genitals and the other goes somewhere on her back. However, the problem only seemed present when I read in a previously saved .pz3. When I posed a new character it seemed to work correctly...come to think of it I never saved and reopened the new figure. I wonder what would happen?
