I have just uplaoded Bodymorpher 1 mark 2, and updated bodymorph poses.

Mk2 have some additional bodymorphs (28 in all), chestmorphs (39 in all) and a ton of head morphs (106 in all), that improve on the older version. Its rather large nearly 4 meg zip, 17-18 meg unziped due to all the character faces i included in it, i didn't have time to sort them properly so i just included everyone i had :)

Its for poset and looks for the P4NG5mk2 texture in the poser 4 texture lib.

I had to kill the julekalender files to uplaod it, some of them is still there and i'll uplaod more later.... after my exams probably.

Fantastic work, you've made working with Posette a pleasure again. I think I speak for most when I say we appreciate all your time and effort and to top it all, your generosity :) Good luck on your exams!

Thanks, it's mostly made for fun and experimentation so that's why i give it away. I learn something new about poser all the time. Earlier today i found out, by accident, that light 4 and upwards in poser 4.03 have near infinite shadow map settings (goes up to 100 000) i have just tested with maps of 4000 and 6000 in resolution and it makes an incredible difference. If i had known about this before i would have updated poser ages ago instead of waiting so long (i updated 2 months ago). It's incredible that i haven't picked this information up on this site, it's probably common knowledge but i have never seen it anywhere. I looked through the Poser 4.03 readme and it says nothing about this at all! If anyone wants to make their own bodymorph poses then i have a tutorial on my site, click on the typewriter. BTW: what's the highest shadow map setting anyone have rendered with? Staale

Heya Staale, thanks for bodymorpher. Not sure you are right on the shadowmap sizes. I can set the max values to 1 mil and even higher and then set the map size to match, but I am not sure why I would want to render with shadow maps set that high. 1024 seems to work well for most. And often even lower settings can give good results if you set the shadow dial to something less than 1.0 .7 works good for most things. A lot depends on the scene I am working but I don't think I have ever had a reason to try to render shadows at 4000 to 6000. Can you explain why you would want to do this? Am curious.

Shadownet, take a look here. It's in Japanese but you'll get an idea from the pictures what an incresed in size shadowmap does. Of course, transparencies, multiple figures with clothing and props in scenes really puts a strain on my machine so I only render with large shadowmaps in closeups of one figure.

Thanks Kalypso, I think I understand now. Here is a picture I did with the shadowmap at 1024. Okay, so upping this to a higher setting would improve the shadow play on her face, yes?

I did some tests last night and when something is casting shadow on the body you need 4000 - 6000 to avoid pixelisation. But it does eat memory, probably a byte a pixel and 6000 probably equals 6000*6000 bytes. Staale

Thanks Staale, I have the earlier model, do I need to delete it for the new version to work or should I just add the files ? Tommy.

Staale, I have been playing around with this as well ever since you brought it up and Kalypso pointed me to the url to read. Thanks both of you. I can see where it can/does make a difference in certain renders. Always great to learn something new. :o)

I have several versions of the Bodymorpher in my directory, they are just cr2 files so they don't affect each other, you should upgrade the Poses as the old ones don't zero out the new morphs. Staale
