Seems legal to me. And what a nice model she is. I agree with Slink but I love the fence, which is rather sad I suppose. Let me explain. I think I ocasionally run into this problem. A photo addresses the subject better but is less visually pleasing. What to do. To me esthetically the glass really does not interest me much. HOWEVER I think IT IS the best entry for leading lines. Which brings me to the point. If I had to vote between all of the pictures you have posted the glass would win. Hmmm such a tragidy because I really like the stairs and the fence best. Does anyone else feel this? Bsteph
(all wonderful images doruk!) bsteph, i know what u mean... but imo the glass is it only at first sight. lines pointing to a hole... mh, well... i would take the fence for best. tell u: even if the sky is only about the top sixth of the pic, the fence leads ur looks to it. und at last the empty sky is (also a bit due to its brightness, ok...) the end point of ur looks. u may notice that u hardly can concentrate on the flowers down there in the foreground. that would not happen if the fence wasn*t there, imo. and for the stairs i'm with u anyway... wonderful!
A beautiful collection of images....I adore the image of the fence and grass...definitely my favorite, I also like very much your photograph of the window display model...wonderful grain in that and beautiful tones.

Some really beautiful images here Doruk, the first is fascinating because of the lines but they lead the eye in so many directions there doesn't seem to be one focal point. My eye keeps wanting to follow the lines in & out of the image which is it's strength I think but not one for leading lines. The stairs again have beautiful lines, love those curves but not really leading to anything. I think the glass is a really strong contender, great dramatic lines all leading to one point. The fence image is stunning, very evocative & this is an idea I'm not sure of, the focal point seems to be more of a feeling the image creates rather than a visual focal point. I love it but don't know how that fits with the contest....... any answers to that Alpha????? Really like the last one, strong, interesting & original. Well, thats my thoughts anyway!

Wonderful images Doruk! The fence is a beautiful photo and it captures my imagination so much...The stairs really are fantastic, as is the glass. The first image is very interesting, and something I would have photographed too, but confuses my eye with all the lines...and the shop window dummy pic is just sublime, but I'm trying hard to see where a focus of the lines in hat picture lead... Thanks for sharing. :-)>
...but better late than none... :) Dear Gunsan, the image in the first pic shows the metal frames, bars and spikes of the windows which surround the borders of a terrace high up on a tower, the tower being the part of a large shopping mall. Up to the level of the terrace, the tower has no floors; above the terrace is another round floor that is occupied by a large restaurant and a bar. Why so much metal spikes..? Because before them, there happened to be some (2 or 3) suicide attempts, and one unfortunate commit... ...And, the management took care of it..!! Let me post another work, another revisited one, to show you a little more detail...
Dear everyone who was interested in this thread and replied, commented, and shared thoughts... ...Thanx for all this..! :) This 'leading lines' concept seems to be one that is open to various interpretations, and also seems that this challenge will be a very productive one... Congrats to everyone even from now... :)

Here is a parade of some images from my archive, images which I think that have some sense of 'leading lines'...
...Rather solid lines though, unlike the rather 'virtual' ones which were beautifuly demonstrated by Alpha in his 'bird feeding street bum' photo.
Some (maybe most) of you would recognize the first three images, while the last two will be new postings...
Here they come, after this...
