We too often think of portraits as just the face, ignoring the portraits of Madame X, the wedding couple, and so many others. American Gothic is a portrait and would lose much of its meaning if the focus was narrowed to just their heads. However, when entering contests or pleasing clients, we need to consider what they mean when the rules/parameters are established. Meanwhile, this is lovely work. Here's the first image I sent in for the portrait challenge. I guess it wasn't facially focused enough. I was trying to get the look of an old painting while using some of my acquired toys. The tiger is the Dedicated Digital Bengal tiger. The figure is Victoria 2 with SteffyZZ's Asia tex, Neftis' Printemps hair, Anton's 18th Century Dress and textures from DAZ, as well as Steve Shanks' medieval dining room in the background. Mike
