Subject: Milk and Cheese?

Doc Legume was asking about Milk and Cheese characters. I've put together a Milk, but I am unfamiliar with the characters, and not sure how closely the character resembles the source figure. The PoserDork head is built into the figure, and has all the facial morphs. The legs are from George Deep's CandyMan and the hands are Homer. Comments, complaints? Cheese will follow soon.

Wasnt the comic by "Evan Dorken" (anybody rememer "Pirate Corps") or something like that... from memory, you're extremely close to the look of the strip. Doug

I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.

The head can be removed from the base .obj and from the .cr2. I have an "in progress" version without the face, but I ended up getting the joint rotation orders wrong when I made the .PHI, so I haven't finished it.

I have tried to compensate by flattening the face as much as possible. You can reduce the Z Scale to zero and pose the face. A textmap may be needed to define the nose in 2D, but it might be easier than using a different texture image for each expression. That process does present problems with the eyes, however....

That looks pretty darn close. Evan Dorkin (I think that's the correct spelling) did create them; I used to have a roommate who was a huge fan of his, even to buying the "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Ren & Stimpy" books he worked on...

I am working on Cheese, but have hit a snag, in that the only visual reference material I have is that available online. How is Cheese's body shaped? Does he have the "swiss cheese bubbles" that are cartoon shorthand for cheese, or is he basically just a cube-like shape? Anyone? Legume, I have adjusted the head so it can be moved along the X, Y and Z axes. It can be hidden inside the body if you don't want it, or, as a separate body part, it can be made invisible. I have, however, been working on making it as 2D as possible, with some success. The characters should hopefully be available at 3DCC by week's end.
