it often takes me as long as 3 weeks to get an image done exactly the way I want to, and I have been doing it for awhile now. A good picture with no flaws means you have to step away and judge your work as if it were someone elses, and then be an absolute perfectionist. I fact, i often times try to completely rip myself apart on an image. I dont see anything good about it, I'm looking for ANYTHING wrong to say , nope , thats garbage, try again. Eventually you may be able to put together renders in no time using a lot of free stuff and marketplace items, but to put together a true image that you can call all your own, that anyone else can look at and be impressed, 5 hours is a small time indeed my friend. Dont get discouraged, art isnt meant to be rushed. Your doing fine. The fact that your still trying shows that you are on the right path.
I think I know what you mean.. I kinda get the idea for something when I'm just playin around with the (seemingly_) infinitessimal options and morphs and textures and scenes and models and clothings.. and when I finally do get round to rendering and uploading it I feel really impressed with myself.. but every time I log on I go back to my gallery (to check for comments and to see how they're doin) I find myself looking at the pictures in a whole new light.. and it's never quite what I meant in the first place.. anyhow.. I agree fully that without the pros hangin about spending a lot of their free time making free stuff available for little monkeys like me.. I'd be like an artist with paint, paper... and no goddamn brushL .. it's amazing what has come of this community and it makes me proud to be a (lower) member :D Keep up the good renders and you'll get where you want to be before you even realise what you're doing :) Dolphy..
I've learned more here than anywhere else, on or off the net. Artistic work, I find, is less about the final product and more about the process. I invest myself totaly in the process and once the piece is finished, it's on its own. Jack: That used to be true of the Afghan carpet weavers as well. Q

To beginners like me...it is hard...my art in my gallery proves it...I spend hours doing just one picture..and still I catch major flaws and everything...frustrating it can be...but when just one thing comes out good..I feel like a million.... But hey that's not what I was posting for.... I tip my hat to all you pros out there that help us...You are truely great...and your kindness is appericated...for not calling us stupid...which I can be... My last picture I produced...While you were sleeping took me 5 hours...then when I went to size it down to post...My paintshop made it hazy!...I wanted to scream and cry..how's that for a grown man?...lol... Anyways hang in there with me....thanks to all you great people!.... One day I'll make just one good picture...no flaws...and we can all celebrate... Hang in there beginners....it's hard...but worth it...what is ever easy that we truely want?...nothing
