wat do i need 2 do 2 make 3D text in bryce? plz help....thanks

black bkgrd, white lettering, saved as bmp... import into lattice feature, place the bmp in both areas and check ok, then from there, you do you manipulating, texturizing, etc.

I've used both the lattice and elefont, as in that thread above. Elefont gives crisp fonts that can be manipulated. The edges of the letters are rougher in lattice work.

change the record eric - i find it much neater to use a terrain @ 512 then clip top and bottom

can elefont create text effects, too? don't know much about it. For instance, I always used the lattice method, because if I needed to I could use Painter (and/or other programs) to create text on a curved baseline, rather than simply straight across. And the only time I've had a problem with rough edges is if I use some cute-sy font with lots of curly-ques. not trying to put down a program I know little about, just curious what it can do.

The easiest way is to use a 3d modeller. Anim8or is free, and fine for tasks like this. Type in your text, save as .obj, import to Bryce and off you go.

Anim8tor is also an animation program, it's renderer is still in it's infancy. And of course it's free.

make your own 3D Text with any font on your system for Free! EleFont: http://www.armanisoft.ch/webdesign/Elefont.htm (only makes DFX) P.S. They have a Spiralizer too;p
