Greetings, and I hope you are enjoying your day. I am confused about what kind of file P4 is supposed to save to. Everything I save comes out as a .pz3 file. Is this normal? Or am I missing something? I have reset the UI a couple of times, tried all I could think to figure it out, but no luck. Do pz4 files exist? Also, I'd like to thank the folks who answered me when I was frustrated about adding clothes. I followed your advice and tried the different ways to conform them, and I managed a few. I have been tweaking M'lady Vethril for her standard P4 debut, and she is coming along. I will post her for anyone who wishes to use her in their scenes. Again, thanks, and enjoy the day. We are only allowed so many, so live them while you can. =)

There is no such thing as a .pz4 That confused me also for a while when I first got Poser 4. Poser 4 is still using the .pz3 file extension.

Hi Veth Does this character resemble you in any way or is she an aler egp? I think I knew the answer to this a year or 2 back during the early Vethril days... Also what is the difference between the Vethril post of a few days ago and the new one? When your character diverges from the P4 standard female you generally need to modify the conforming clothes as well. I am going to try messing with the magnets and see if I can have better luck at that. I used to use RDS for making morph Targets but this "seems" easier. Thanks again, Eric Walters

LOL, I wish I had those long legs. No, I am not built like Veth. If I were, I would be somewhere in Hollywood, making millions in the movies. grin I'm a shrimp at 5'3" 115lbs. Even my kids tower over me now. I guess we all dream of looking like our favorite Posette, but it's rare when that is the case. But hey, I still consider myself attractive at age 32, and even though gravity is chasing me these days, I have managed to keep ahead of it. LOL! Anyway, that is the wonder of Poser. To dream and imagine, and put it to a world where all can share your dreams. If Renderocity ever gets a Family Album setup, I will post a picture for the curious. Till then, we walk in our dreams, and embrace the enchantment that Poser brings to us. (And the aggravation too, LOL!)

The difference in the two files is the "Mobius Standard". Back in the heyday of Poser3, the mighty Mobius, (bows in the direction of greatness, LOL), posted a figure that was coverted to a higher number of polygons, giving it a smoother, more realistic look in closups and portraits. It is a memory cruncher though, and crashed many an old pentium that tried to use it too much. (Mine included =P ) I had not seen a P4 conversion of the Mobius HiRes on the Forum, so I thought some old time Posers might find it useful. But Veth is there in her standard P4 configuration too, so folks have a choice. Hope that clears the confusion up. =)

Veth...I sent some messages to you but no responses...guess you're in different places now. I did a little exersize and converted the P3 Vethril chest to P4...it's an exact replica, though I did fix some of the original "morph-collision" problems in it. Send me a good email addy if you'd like to take a look at it...thou I do see you have her up to speed now! Foxhollow

Hi Veth! :-) Thanks for your candid answer-I sense I gave you a good laugh! I am looking forward to seeing your picture-maybe I or someone (you?) might be motivated to make a "real Vethril" character to accompany the Lady Vethril :-) Actually the "other" forum at www.renderotica.com has a few albums of its members up-many of the folk from renderosity can be found there. I have never seen you post there so I wonder if you know about it. I was off the poserforum for some months-only coming back recently and I would have missed it if I had come back a month later since the link from here to there dissapeared soon after I returned. I will try the Mobius-I may still have the P3 Mobius on a CDrom somewhere from "way back" in 1998. I have been a forum member nearly from the inception so I have lots of old goodies burned on CD-some are no longer available. Unfortunately, unless there is a readme file I wont know who created or posted so I cant ask permission to repost. I took a look at your website-very cool! I need to go back and finish looking at it since it takes a long time to load with my puny 26K connection and it was very late when I got to it. It seems there is a mythology involved-is it your creation? It might be good to make texture/bump/trans maps for the Veth hair. I just started with Steve Cox UVmapper and Photoshop so I might have a go at that with your permission! Take care, Eric Walters
