I tried to dld the very cool free stuffs of recent release ( July 30..) by bebop, but all linksgave me "Not Found". is it a kidding or just lost links ? I really admire and like to dld them.

Yes, the textures were great, but how he created some of them was very wrong. I just have to wonder what this is all about. So just because of the lightset incident now you guys think the textures are stolen too? Give it a rest, for God's sake. The guy may have done bad things but he has also created gorgeous textures and to start accusing him of stealing them is libellous.

I agree with Eowyn. Because he did something wrong in the past do not mean that now we need to be assuming that everything that came from him is bad or stollen. That is not fair. Maybe reposting his free textures here was the way that he use to come back with a new actitude and now we close the door of communication and understanding. Permanent banned from Renderosity? Can someone here talk with him. Do he need to say something?

He does NOT have a history of theft, wake up! There was a dispute over ONE item, for crying out loud! His flaming of members here is a different story, but that can't be a legal reason to close his website... That part was a purely personal thing.

This is going to OT. This is very similiar to a thread that ended up getting locked a day or two ago so please let's not let it get out of hand again. :)

wow...everybody seems so angry, lately. i have seen alot of ugliness in the poser-related forums, lately. mostly, it has been moved, deleted, and/or locked....d. all of the above. that's okay, though. we all still have our posting rights. wow....in the last few days, i have read posts by 3 or four members who said they were leaving this community. i think they may have been angry about something. they took away their own posting rights. that seems the best way to go, when angry at renderosity/and/or some of its members. 'cause you don't have to ban yourself for life. nope, you can simply take your toys and go home. you can come back, with your toys....maybe,a few extra toys for appeasel of the ptb...and all will be splendid. back to the bebop issue. there were 3 primary players in the overall nastiness that broke out early this year. let's call them a...the girl player. xy....the first male player, and, xyy....second male player. well, a felt sure that xy had ripped off her lighting sets, and sold them as a package. she supposedly told xyy. xyy puts his head with that of lady a. they decide for xyy to introduce yet ANOTHER lightset to the market. they decided to use lady a's lightset...but to alter the numbers by "1". internet prank, okay? even those of us coming up with a debt in our "time you have, to do what you like"...have fun, here, and at other places. anyway, a plot was concocted. the fair knight xy came to royal battle with lady a. knight number 3, sir xyy, it all went so very badly, that it burst into flames in the poser forum. however, all threads of war were shuffled off to the c&d forum. there, they were summarily executed, as was, finally the entire forum. i think what counts is this...there were 3 people involved. all 3 folks were very well reknowned, here. one took home their toys, and ran....but, returned a day or so later. another, used the whole flame war, as good publicity. i must admit....he went far on it. he's quite successful, now; so i hear. the third person in that little go round lost his cool. he probably isn't a good poker player, either. but, he did have some wonderful talents that made him valuable to this community. i hate to be a snob, but, sir xyy had some wonderful, unique talents. he was on a par, in his field, with lady a, and lord xy. i want to go to my religion's version of "heaven"...that is, of course, unless your's is better. i've done some things, early on in my wild years, that i still feel bad about. wow....this whole thread makes me worry if i am forever to be banished from heaven, mecca, west virginia, and, that there rockin' out little baptist church on south dixie hwy. i can't wait for this weekend to inform all those folks, that by renderosity standards...they can not be saved. no redemption. this whole thread is a very sad comment on human nature.

I know for a fact that you were there during the origional brawl, multiple attacks, and refusal to back off and tak it private & offsite when I had Bebop banned initially. That was when you practically lived in C&D.

I am sure this is a moot point and I am sure it has been brought up many times before, but, here goes. Back in the day when Intel computer processors were known by their numbers, 386, 486, et al, AMD released their own versions of the 486 CPU and set off a large legal proceding in which Intel claimed trademark infringement. The case went on and on, and when it was all over, a judge rules that it is NOT possible to put a copyright on a number. This decision caused the creation of the processor known as the Pentium. Lights, Poses, and damned near everything else in Poser is a dial setting or a number value. You CANNOT set the "pregnant" dial of Vicky2 to .275 and then claim a copyright to that dial setting. There is no court in the world that would uphold that. The thing is with lights and poses (especially poses) is that while it is nice to be able to download these items created by someone else to save us time, the items could easily be recreated inside of Poser by almost anyone else. Textures are another story, of course. I'm tired. I'm serving on a jury trying a very emotional case. Horrible stuff. Im also trying to prepare 10 AUTOCAD classrooms for the fall semester which starts in 3 weeks AND admininster the Merit internet accounts provided to our faculty in staff. On top of that I've got 5 children that I adore wanting as much of my time as possible. I'm not in the greatest of moods as you can imagine. So forgive me if I state that the whole thing is just tough shit on everyone's part. Get over it, grow up, move on. Create something other than a fuss. Even better, go rent the movie "Life Is Beautiful", watch it, and then tell me you have something to gripe about. I didn't watch this whole mess with bebop unfold as member so I checked what info is available. I gotta tell ya that I've come away from it with the opinion that Renderosity is a difficult place to get banned from permanently. There are some triggers that will get you nailed right off such as requesting warez but by and large you really have to work at it to get barred for good. Bebop had been banned once and that was revoked after he promised to shape up. After being reinstated, he proceeded to get involved in the same activities that got him banned in the first place. IMO, and this is just my opinion, the biggest problem is that he keeps uping the ante. The number of alises he's assumed (9 at my last count) plus the fact that he still insists on violating the TOS everytime he makes a new one just makes it that much harder for admin to give him another break. If he really wanted to come back, he'd be better off cooling it for a month or two then requesting another try from admin. This may or may not work but as it is it'll only get harder the more times he uses new aliases.

You didn't miss much Bushi... I was involved in most of it as C&D mod, and ClintH was as the admin involved. Mostly a huge mess, unfortunately.

Poppi, you are WAY off base on this one. As one of the 'semi-silent' witnesses to the MANY repeated episodes Ironbear mentioned, I can attest to his accuracy. This is not about just one occurrence - it went on, and on, and on, and ON - and the perp was also one of the prime movers in the whole sordid mess that got C&D shut down permanently. Bushi is right, not only does he keep coming back, and coming back, and coming back, he ALWAYS makes sure that everybody knows it's him in his new 'clone identity' and he ALWAYS makes a POINT of violating the TOS in some way as soon as possible. It appears he gets some sort of 'charge' out of flagrantly waving his butt in everybody's face time after time after time after time after time after time after time. (The sheer repetition of all this crap is incredibly BORING to say the least.) His whole act seems to revolve around "you can't keep me out if I want in, nyaaah, nyaaah, nyaaah! I'll do any damn thing I please, so THERE!"

Listen to bushi....he speaks with mucho wisdom here...I too was a witness...I have had my own share of bebop contraversy...persomally I did not know bebop, but I did encounter his stubborn "ego" more than a few times..."that" was not a pleasant foe... Now...my apologies for even sticking my head in here...but most everyone is...so why the hell not...especially when I too was involved in more than one tirade...
