Subject: Bryce into poser 3d way

How do I get a brycefile into poser 3d. the only way i know how is to import it as a background image but that makes it flat and of caourse only in the background... plz help!

You can export the Bryce terrain as an .obj file, and then import that into Poser. I don't think that there's any easy way to transfer other Bryce objects.

or you can export the terrain map to carrara and save as an obj if you're using bryce 3.

How do I export it as a OBJ file. -bikermouse0 im using bryce4. thx anyway. I am new to all this so plz explain how i export it as a obj file...

Shilby, I'm using bryce 3. Bryce 3 will only export as an obp. I hear it is possable to save as obj in bryce 4 but you will either have to hope someone here that has bryce 4 reads your question or repost it in the Bryce Forum. I hate to bring this up, but isn't that in the B4 manual? If you go into terrain editor you can save to the clipboard then in carrara paste from the clipboard and then save. that should save the day until you get a more helpful response. -TJ

Yes You can export terrains as obj files in bryce 4 but no primitives! so unfortunately unless your scene is all terrains you're out of luck exporting your entire scene. (for terrains just select the terrain and click on file/export object.
