Just so you know I don't do only 'nature' shots. The shapes, colors and light attracted me. I'd have to check my EXIF data, but suspect I used a Sigma 24-70 lens here.

Hope I don't go over the edge here posting images, but this forum seems much more about images than technical.

This is cathedral in Savannah, Georgia (US). No flash of course, so 400 ISO and I know that I used my Sigma 24-70, though I wished I had had my 15-30 on instead :>(

Damn picnic, I love them all, and all so different too. The Blue Ridge Mountains are one of my favorite places, but I'm 8 hours away :~(

Thanks--I'm just 45 minutes away from Mt. Mitchell, highest point east of Mississippi. Actually, I'm in the foothills and just a quick 1/2 hr. from Blue Ridge Parkway, altho' that one was shot near home with mts. in background.

I'll look for more mt. shots. I have some on my pbase gallery site, but no recent ones. I was on the parkway Saturday but it was extremely hazy and nothing much attracted me (plus we were taking my mother for a drive--so not much time to wander around though I always have a camera with me LOL). Fall is coming--a beautiful time of year in the mts.

Beautiful images. Second one is my favorite. And what the heck is that thingie in first one? ...but, those frames, bit err, neutral ones would be better. Now those frames draws attention and creates bit uneasy feeling. .n

I'm using a Canon D60. Well, sorry about the frame. Its not meant to look like a 'double' frame but that's what ended up. I use a simple black frame around white matte--but that didn't show up here because of the black bg, so I put it on white bg with drop shadow--and then---the black bg LOL---looks like a double frame. Ah, well.

The top is a gear I guess--found a pile of them behind a building on one of my Sunday morning walkabouts/driveabouts. Just good abstract shapes/patterns.

Here's same 'gears' without the bg--the black frame 'melts' into the black bg--ah, well.

And same--double matted as one would do for simple framing perhaps

And one without--I used to always post without anything--but they do lose a bit of 'punch' when just posted 'plain' in my gallery. Otherwise, it means post working for 2 or 3 different formats for different forums/galleries.

I really like the second shot, very rustic

I'm not a church goer but I am always fascinated by cathedrals' and churches' interiors and architecture. I like that cathedral shot of yours the best in this batch, with the repetitive arches (timpani?) and bright colors. (*

I like all three :) But my fav is #2. I love senic views. I also like the double mat version of the gears.

Thanks. BTW, if anyone ever wants a Photoshop action for framing or matting for web use, I'd be glad to do it. My actions are for the proportions of my D60 (3/2) but I can do actions for other proportions (my E10 is 4/3--more 'View' proportion). I normally do it manually for any I crop differently. Its possible but not great to do one action that will work for anything. You can also choose colors for mattes, frames as action progresses because I put a 'stop' in. I'm gradually converting my pbase galleries to a simple frame--and I just changed the style sheets for the backgrounds to cream instead of black-I think it is easier on the eyes, though I've always liked color against black.

All three are very beautiful, but I liked the indoor shot the best..!
