Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
I dont know of any good tutorials but I do it all the time. It also depends on what version of LW you are using. If 7.5 you can just export the file in obj format, assuming you have defined the parts and grouped them properly in LW. Earlies versions I would chop up my mesh into the varios body parts and export each as an object naming them peoperly. Then I would import each part into poser and export as one mesh in object format welding the parts. This works well. Also depends on what Poser version you are using. If the pro pack then reimport your complete object and go into the setup room and set it up. Find a cr2 that is close to the same body parts so you dont have to set the whole thing up. Hope this makes since. Ron

Just so you know I am working with a beta version of a new product that will be available soon, the beta version is downloadable for free, it will convert your Lightwave to any version you would like. You can find the link here, it is called Meshbox.....you may want to try it.Attached Link: http://arthur.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=440&Form.ShowMessage=828232
If you have pro pack I discuss the method in brief in the thread at this link. I started with a mesh from Character Creator but any mesh will do. Even clothes from Lightwave. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible. I have created a complex item of clothing in Lightwave and would like to import it into Poser with all its posible parts. Does anyone know of a tutorial which explains the process?
