Hi! I have a decision to make now...do I buy UF3, or Xenodream? Any input on your choice and why you made it, regrets or rejoicing would be welcome!

I vote for UF3. It is more versatile, not to mention much easier to get pretty results. I have both and while XD is fun to use, I get more enjoyment from UF.

UF3. I have both and I really can't get to grips with XD, havn't produced anything like 1 image with it yet, but then I may be technocologically challenged and you might do much better, other folks don't seem to have any bother with it.

Hi tresamie - both these programs are great, I have both, and I don't regret buying either. The images created with each program are very different from each other, so it isn't necessarily and either / or thing on that respect. You get a load more for you money with UF, and the chance to try before your buy, and it's a bit cheaper. I think it also has more staying power because of the huge public database of formulas that is available, as well as a very active and supportive mailing list. So if it was me, I would download UF, try it for the 30 day trial period, and if you get on ok with it, register it. If you hate it, you can always uninstall UF and fork out for XD at that stage. Thanks for the information posted. I have been using UF2 for some time now, and have downloaded and played with UF3 (hating the little stickers on everything i did.) I love the look of all the Xenodream renders I have seen, and was considering buying it before UF3 came out, hence this dilemma. At the moment, I can only afford one of these programs, so I will have to figure it out before my 30 days are up, lol.
