I asked the same question yesterday, the boxes were shipped towards Ireland last week so we should be seeing it soon hopefully, just gotta wait for customs & the bomb squad to get finished sniffing the boxes ;)

hmmm frustrating isn't it. Still its been helpful to read all the tips and experiences of our friends across the pond. My impression is that people are already beginning to sort out some of the problems (tho clearly there are some pretty significant software issues that CL will have to resolve)

plenty of useful tips for us when we finally get our hands on it too ;)

Perhaps it would have been quicker if we could have ordered it through the US site instead of the Irish one. I've ordered stuff from the US before, and it usually takes less time than this. The shipping might have cost a bit more, but its a pain not having any idea if and when it's going to even be shipped. The Irish website said that it would ship no later than the 15th well that's been and gone. They could at least send out an email with a revised date, or update their website to let us know roughly how much longer we need to wait.

No use to be worried. CL Europe will surely ship P5 as soon as they possibly can. Don't forget, that your credit cards will be charged only when they can ship (until a few days ago mine still wasn't, and I ordered P5 upgrade the very same day it was made available in Europe). - Orio

same here Orio, I'm not worried, just itching to get my hands dirty ;)

BrianR ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 11:06 AM

Same here, ordered the day it was made available in the UK but no charge yet, I don't doubt it'll be here as soon as they can but it's still frustrating. I keep scanning the forums to see if anyone over here has heard yet but nothing :O(

ask myself which way they choose for shipping.Sailboat, ship, airplane..... think it will last another 2 weeks here in germany..

chohole ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 1:03 PM

I think maybe they used a ship and it got lost in the Bermuda Triangle.Or maybe its name was the Mary Celeste

The Titanic? if it was coming by air it would be flight 19, I thought they might be digging a tunnel first so they could just drive it over or stick it on a train

And then just think, the Irish have to forward them onward. Hope all those Irish jokes are not true. Do you know how to confuse an Irishman? Offer him 3 shovels and tell him to take his pick.

there's another answer to that one, but they might be watching the forums so I'll keep it to myself ;)

Back in the bad old days in Belfast when British security forces used to tell that very joke to Irish Nationalists to taunt them, the standard reply ran something like this.

(pointing to the crown forces Doberman) "Does your dog know how to put out fires?"

"No, why?"

"Ah that's a pity, 'cause your armoured car is on fire!"

Sorry, but one bad joke deserves another. ;0)

On the issue of deliveries I live just 6 miles from the CL Dublin officed and have not got P5 yet (pre-ordered) but Schlabber in Germany has. Figure that.

STORM

I used to love the old Wimpey joke which went Englishman says Wimpey stands for.........We Import More Irish Each Year Irishman says Are but Wimpey backwards stands for....You English Pigs make Irishman Work. And the Irish tell Irish Jokes as well, but they poke fun at Kerrymen, so if you are Irish substitute Kerryman for Irishman. And I am not predudiced, I am part Irish, and both my sons live there. In fact the youngest must nearly be a neighbour of Storm. All this because I am upset about not getting P5 yet.

Ah Storm but Schlabber did some work on Poser5 that's why he's got his already.

noggin ( ) posted Tue, 17 September 2002 at 7:33 AM

Hah one of the inner c1rcle eh c1rcle. I put my order in 24/8 and still not a peep and todays the day Kupa said it was likely to arrive in UK. Anyone know who we should be badgering in Ireland?

c1rcle ( ) posted Tue, 17 September 2002 at 10:38 AM

whatever you do don't start pestering Trevor, he's a really nice guy & doesn't need the headache of us all badgering him

noggin ( ) posted Tue, 17 September 2002 at 1:03 PM

I'm sure badgering / pestering won't have any effect anyway. Anyone even had an e-mail to notify of despatch?

c1rcle ( ) posted Tue, 17 September 2002 at 1:47 PM

nope my email is open the whole time my pc is on & no email yet, loads of ebots tho, over a thousand since P5 was released, I started to go through them to weed out the rubbish & keep the P5 tips handy, but even with only them it's over 200 emails :)
