Interesting, but I think the terminology is not the best. It seems commonly accepted, and logical that one Poser unit = 1.000 on a translation dial, (which by some conventions = 8"). It seems that 1,000 of your PNU = 1 Poser unit, there seems to be a potential here for confusion between a PNU and a Poser Unit.

I have arbitrarily defined a PNU as the smallest increment that you can change something in the Poser "studio."
That is, changing "yTran" from 0.000 to 0.001 would be an increment of one PNU.

I believe Mr. lesbentley meant that 1.000 on the Poser dial should be 8' (feet) and NOT 8" (inches).

I have found that using 1.000 to equal 8.333... (repeating decimal) feet works very well because that makes 1.000 equal to 8 and 1/3 feet or 8' 4" or 100" EXACTLY !!!

Thus:
1.000 = 100"
0.100 = 10"
0.010 = 1"
0.001 = 0.1"

This is the scale that my 9' Prop Scale is based upon.

So, I guess I only have 1 square Poser Unit and not 1,000,000.

I DO still have 1,000,000 squares !

I wasn't going to mention THAT because it will REALLY "muddy the water" for anyone who is gonna ask,

"Ok, I only can see 3 decimal places on the display, where is the ..., etc."

1/10 of an inch (using my scale) is the distance that Poser's GROUND is below 0,0,0 (the yTran value).
